  1. I have had many days where color has been critical. I usually fish frog in clearer waters and have found dark colors produce far better than the lighter colors. A yellow belly frog is useless to me most of the time.
  2. Dang!!!!! I had my heart set on that new NRX. Dang!!!!!
  3. X2 I am a firm believer in gaining as much knowledge as you can, will this complicate matters? sure , but in the long run it will make for a more rewarding experience. I too was raised on trout fishing and though I enjoyed it for many years I find Bass fishing much more complicated, challenging, and rewarding. Sorry I didn't do much for your original question.
  4. On my profile, I see I have a lot of "warning Points" what are they and can I trade them in for anything?
  5. X2 that's just the was it is.
  6. I've heard many different reason,But I would suggest if you are buying your first b/c and you are right handed that you purchase a left hand b/c reel and learn to crank with the left hand right from the beginning. I did that many years ago and am glad I did. Much more natural for me.
  7. I'm impressed, congratulations
  8. What tackle were you using when you caught the sturgeon?
  9. Nice size smallie
  10. Can I get their names and phone numbers? I have an investment I think they may be interested in.
  11. I'm going to go to bed on the 21st and wake up on the 22nd
  12. Wondering how many of you were fortunate enough to caught a Personal Best in 2012.
  13. I wanna caught fish when I go fishing & I could live on 3 pounders all day long in Idaho.
  14. Congrats, hope you break it again soon.
  15. I also own nrx's, glx's & an ES70mf St.Croix. I perfer the g.loomis's
  16. Different benefits for different people. I love fishing, it helps me relax and gives me something to look forward to that I enjoy. But I have an associate who I spoke with the other day with a serious mental illness. He told me "fishing has saved my life"
  17. Read & watch as much as you can. Some T.V. shows can be very imformative, while others you may consider a waste of time. You will learn fast the ones that are worth watching. This forum is great with it's associated articles and videos. Only way to really learn is going out and doing it. Please note that it is probably not too late to "get out of it now" The best way to prevent ADDICTION is to get away from it in the early stages obviously too late for the "not even once" approach. Have fun!!!
  18. It's so cold on the Hudson this time of year that water freezes at 35 degrees
  19. As bad as it gets fishing, it is magnified while hunting ducks. It's one of the reasons I now fish more than hunt. I fear I may witness the same creeping in fishing as I witnessed in hunting, it gets worst very year. You may not own the lake, but you can own a little descency and treat others as you would want them to treat you.
  20. Sounds like you might be responsible for a couple addictions. might be the best thing you did all week.
  21. Seems to be a good value for the $$$$ Mine has served me well.
  22. I tend to agree. Great jig rod yet very versatile.
