  1. I'm usually fishing in a small pond boat or a frameless pontoon 6 combos are about it.
  2. I would stick with IMX,GLX and NRX in the G.Loomis line.
  3. Just part of life. I fish from a small pond boat or a floored pontoon boat. Especially in the spring time and early summer the wind blows 90% of the time. I have to plan fishing trips accordingly and try to pick days of 10mph winds or less. Drives me crazy when flipp'n and Pitchin
  4. That's OBSCENE
  5. Ya, we had some topwater explosions on frog this year. bout the same results.
  6. Surprise- Spro baby popper frog dissappointment- ?
  7. Had a blast this year fishing a 1/16 bitsy on an NRX 852s with nanofil. Caught some nice ones.
  8. The Plueger is an excellent reel, but compare to the Shimano in comes in a close second. IMO
  9. Congrats. now go break it again
  10. One, G.Loomis CBR 843. But I may see a need for a deeper driving rod in the future.
  11. I love froggin and had my best year ever, this year. For myself, I see no reason yet for a dedicated frog rod. I use my versitile GLX 844 and it has alway done the job. Been a pleasure to fish that rod for jigs and even light flippin.
  12. 6.5# on green pumkin senko. pretty good fish for Idaho
  13. I disagree that it ball could have been EASILY handled by an infielder and the LATE call makes it one of the worst calls ever. IMO
  14. X2 I also use it as a jig trailor when I want a little larger profile.
  15. Hey, question me all you want. I like it's castablity and low stretch quality and it's sensitivity. Also I feel I probably could have avoided the break-offs if I would have taken the time to inspected and retied more often. Though retying every few fish seems to disquailify the nanofil as a desirable alternative to other lines.
  16. I've watched my share of MLB games in my 57 years, but that may stand as the worst call in history. I am neither a Brave or Cards fan this year. Short-stop had to take 16 strides to get to the ball in the outfield and the infield fly rule applies????? SHAME on the ump. A NFL replacements offical could have called it better.
  17. Ponds and small reservoirs along the snake river, S.W. Idaho
  18. I don't know if it's just been a good year for frogs or what, but that frog has been epic for me. Might be the size or the concaved face popping action, but I have had the best froggin of my life. 300-350 bass and for Idaho that's pretty good.
  19. As most of you know nanofil has a great tendency to fray. My experience is that the first 5-10 ft especially needs to be checked frequently. I have lost two nice jigs on 3-4 pounders right at the boat. My fault, I should have been more dilligent with my inspection. What was tough was last time out I had a huge hit that took the tip of my rod into the water and snapped the nanofil. Another lost jig, but I sure would have like to have got a look at the hawg that did it. I will still continue to use nanofil in some application and hope I've learn my lesson to inspect and retie often. For those using this stuff do yourself a favor and inspect frequently and don't take a chance when you see a fray.
