Arrow Pro Fiberglass Boats
Anyone ever heard of them? Any feed back? Any pictures? There is one listed in the local paper really cheap but before I call, I just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback. Thanks.

Bill Dance handling fish
Regarding the locations of his filming, I really don't care. I don't really care if I see some one catching a 1 pounder or a 10 pounder, I am more concerned with HOW he caught the fish. What technique did he use, what lure, etc. I know going into watching his show that he is probably fishing waters that most of the public will never get to fish so that really doen't bother me. I think he has proved he can catch fish, even in tough conditions, by his record early in his career. But like I said, I watch those kinds of shows to pick up on techniques and tricks but I still hate the way he feels the need to stick his hand in the gills, even on the smaller fish he catches.

Bill Dance handling fish
I really have gotten to the point that I TIVO the show, fast forward through him actually catching the fish and then stop it to listen to see if he has anything informational to say, if not I fast forward to after he catches the next fish to see if there is anything of interest being said. It usually takes me about 5 minutes to watch his 30 minute show.

Bill Dance handling fish
Am I the only one who gets irritated seeing Bill Dance handle a fish after he has caught it? It is like fingernails on a chalkboard seeing him hold the fish with his hand inside the gill plate. There is no reason to do this, is there? >

NE side or NW side?
I would assume the NW side as well. It is exposed to the sun for the longest period of time during the day.

Battery for fish finder
As of now, nothing other than the fish finder. Down the line I may get a TM, and that will need a deep cycle battery, but for now just the fish finder. I am probably going to get an Eagle Cuda since they are small and inexpensive for the quality.

Battery for fish finder
I have decided to get a pontoon boat to fish out of this summer, the small single person pontoons, and I am going to put a fish finder no it. What kind of battery do they use? Do I need to get a marine deep cycle or will any battery work. I am usually not on the water for more than 3-4 hours at a time.

Pitching
I have the KVD vid as well, and it is really good, but it doesn't really teach how to pitch. It is very good at showing when, where and why to pitch but as far as the actually mechanical movements to pitching, it doesn't really emphasise them, IMO.

Going to see KVD and Brent Chapman
Just got back from the sportshow a while ago, and I have to say KVD is truly a world class person. He talked about fishing jerkbaits in this part of the country this time of year, which was both informative and very entertaining. He answered questions as if the person asking them was the most important person in his life at that moment. I am sure he has been asked every question in the book many times over again, but still answered them as if that was the first time he had ever been asked that question. Afterward he signed my copy of his book, Secrets of a Champion, with a personalized autograph, which was very cool. As I was leaving for the night, he was walking toward me, and I stop to see if I could ask him a question, and without hesitation he stopped and I got to talk with him one on one for a few minutes, which was even cooler that the personalized autograph. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for Brent Chapman because I wanted to get home to play with my 3 yr old boy before he went to bed. All in all, well worth the $9 to get in the show. ON a side note for anyone interested in the KC Chiefs, according to Bill Grigsby, the Herm Edwards deal was signed, sealed and delivered this afternoon, even though no one is saying so yet.

Most INFORMATIVE fishing shows?
thanks, it must not be on very often because I did a search on Tivo to start recording it but no episodes were found in the next 14 days. I will have to keep checking though.

Most INFORMATIVE fishing shows?
I see a lot of guys say "Angler on Tour" what channel and when is this show on?

Going to see KVD and Brent Chapman
I am really looking forward to it now. I am assuming it isn't going to be a "full" seminar because i see now that the times for KVD and Brent are only 1 hour apart, but any info from these guys will be good for me. Brent is a local guy from the KC area, he won the Busch Shoot Out at Table Rock and the Top Gun event in Texas this last year.

Going to see KVD and Brent Chapman
They are speaking and giving presentations tonight at the Kansas City Sport Show, going to go and see them as well as all the other stuff at the show that I either don't need or can't afford, but will still probably buy. Anyone seen presentations by KVD or Chapman, what should i expect? Will it be informative or just entertainment? I assume KVD is there primarily since he want the Classic and Chapman because he is a local boy, but I am still excited to see them. Going to try to get KVD to autograph my copy of Secrets of a Champion..

Yeah, what Glenn said. I was half asleep when I posted my response, his way is much easier.

B.A.S.S.
It is a long story but if you go to Bassmaster.com and do a search there are numerous articles on the subject, as well as several topics in the discussion boards.

The store is open!
Hey Glenn, any thoughts of getting a visor in the store? I like the hat but on hot summer days I like a visor to keep my big head cooler.

NEW YEARS DAY RESOLUTIONS
I am with ya sort of on the smokes, only I quit last weekend, cold turkey. So far so good, but I have been eating the Heck out of sunflower seeds to keep my mind off the cigarettes. [edit]Replaced "R" language with "PG" language.[/edit]

Pontoon boat
Thanks guys, I think for now I am going to be relegated to the shore or wading, since just found out we have a new baby on the way, my fishing budget just got even smaller.

Another New Outdoor store in KC
BPS is opening 2 locations in the KC area in 2006-07, but I just read that Sportsman's Warehouse is planning on opening a 60,000 sq ft store basically across the street from one of the new BPS. I think I need to get another job just to support the bait monkey. :'( Anyone have any input on the merchandise from Sportsman's Warehouse?

Pontoon boat
I know this has probably been asked before but i couldn't find any previous posts, so here goes. Does any one use or has anyone used a single person pontoon boat to fish out of? I am talking about the ones like a Trout Unlimited style. I am thinking of getting one for small ponds and such, more so than a jon boat, since I don't have a way to transport the boat. My concern is do they allow you to sit high enough off the water to be able to cast well and accurate?

Welcome to the new forums!
Glad there back up and going, I was having some serious withdrawal symptoms the last few weeks. I kept checking the site about every hour just hoping that i wouldn't see the dreaded "please excuse our mess" sign. I feel like I have been reunited with a long lost friend.
