Maybe the economy and gas prices had something to do with it? I haven't liked the Cup format. Like others, I didn't care for how a lot of races ended. Advantages, for years DEI pretty much owned the secrets to restrictor plates races. Just like others have master the COT setups. But it has become somewhat boring and captures less of my TV time has it did. Still like certain venues as must watch. This is another good point... Talking about gas prices and consumption, why not run 50 laps and save a $hit ton of gas if you aren't even going to let the guys race?

I don't like the idea of protecting anyone. That's what a lot of people watch the game for. But, if you are going to protect, it's really lame to just protect the QB. I would bet money lineman suffer more injuries than a QB. If you are going to compare importance in the game, the QB relies on lineman. Lineman don't necessarily rely on a QB. So, like I said, I don't like the whole protection thing. If you end up protecting everybody the most important aspect of football is lost, just like the idea of "racing" in NASCAR.

I stick with 8-10. Let's be honest, you're probably not going to catch a fish over 12 Lbs around here. I'd only think about going higher if you are flipping heavy cover, or decide you want braid for topwater.

The whole point of NASCAR is to cheat without getting caught. Thats the way it has always been. This goes for about any sport actually. The reason it sucks is because of the same people b**ching about the girls basketball team beating another team. Nobody wants their feelings hurt so they level the playing field so nobody has an advantage. Thats exactly why its boring. Thats like telling a 7ft basketball player he has to play on his knees just because hes tall. The same thing is happening in the NFL. We pay quarterbacks $20 million a year to throw a leather ball but God forbid he actually gets hit one time. The NFL will suck shortly too.

I took the time to look it up. We actually lost 118-45 and 111-63. My major point was that if running the score up wasn't enough, they were still teabagging us and jacking up 3's from half court.

I feel sorry for the girls that lost, but I don't have any hard feelings because of the score. I think its pretty lame a coach can't find SOME way for his girls to score one goal. Last time I checked there was no shot clock in high school. A smart coach would have held the ball the whole game. The other team did nothing wrong and they shouldn't be shunned. I played High School ball with a team that deep into the state playoffs my sophomore year, and went to the state championship my junior year. Being one of the premier teams in the state, we were invited to play Oak Hill Acadamy (the #1 high school basketball team in the nation for like the past 10 years.) These dudes were pressing and doing 360* windmills over our heads in the 4th quarter. I got dunked on by a guy doing a reverse alley-oop. We got beat like 120 to 60 something. I didn't cry about it though. I had the pleasure of playing with several players now in the NBA and premier college programs. Not many people can say that.
