Thanks guys. Other than current breaks and water changes, are their any other irregular things I should be looking for to locate structure since I am without a boat and depth finder?

I have never fished rivers before, and since we just happen to have land on a river after 19 years I figured I'd give it a try. I went out and caught 2 off of a Rapala DT4 mainly because I dont have tubes, jigs, or jerkbaits. To my question; does it make sense to wade upstream instead of walking back down through the dirt you've stirred up? This hit me while I was in the middle of the water. Are their any other river tips or bait presentations ya'll can throw my way?

I've never seen a game warden "patrolling". The only time I see them out is when they respond to a poaching / trespassing call.

Most of the time color does not matter. I stick with 4 colors. Junebug Green Pumpkin Watermelon White Darker colors for darker waters. (Junebug, Green Pumpkin) Lighter, more natural colors for clearer waters. (Watermelon, Green Pumpkin, White) Green Pumpkin is a great all around color that can be used for all situations. White works well in darker water. Confusing, right? I stick with the darker colors. Green Pumpkin is my favorite although color does not really play that big of a factor. Think about all of the different colors from a marketing/business standpoint. Read the above links for an in depth reasoning behind color choices. Good luck!

We have neither cable nor satellite. We just use our antenna to pick up the digital signals. (Which are free by the way.) There is a night and day difference between digital and analog. Another cool thing, for each analog channel you have, there are usually between 1 and 5 more digital channels for that same station. During March Madness CBS ran 5 basketball games at the same time. It was pretty sweet...

Our 73" is a Mitsubishi, and the surround sound is PolkAudio. You should really look into everything you buy for your TV. I'm pretty sure we got ripped on our Blu ray disc player. Not that it's cheap, but that its so nice we don't even know how to use half its features; all we do is watch a movie now and then. Your TV and speaker system is a HUGE investment IMHO, and should be thought out and shopped for very well. But as I always say, it doesn't matter what you end up with as long as you're satisfied.

In January my dad bought a 73" 1080p. We have the HDMI cable, Blu Ray, etc.... You can definitely tell a difference in the picture between Blu Ray and DVD, but I haven't noticed a difference in sound.
