Twitch it, burn it, hop it, between long or short pauses, etc... Make it look like a frog! Fish it anywhere a frog would hang out. Walking the dog is a bit harder with frogs, it just takes time and practice. A good rhythm and the right amount of slack in your line is key.

Just for the heads up... There are different grades of pressure treated lumber. Above ground Below ground In the water I have no clue which you have, but this may be something to look into. After you rebuild, Thompsons Water seal is one of the best things you can do. My dad uses it on the floor of the horse trailer, and the boards are good as new 20 years old.

Some woods are certianly more water resistant than others, and some provide more cover. I'd think one that provides a mix of both would be the most beneficial. Location should be the first thing you consider. Generally, bigger trees with bigger branches spread further apart will hold bigger fish, while smaller trees like christmas trees hold much smaller fish. This website explains it all.
