  1. People don't leave the fish in their livewells when they're going to cheat. What they do is they put them in a cage or on a stringer and hide them in the lake. I've heard stories of guys finding these cages and letting all the fish go and all of the sudden people that always place good in tournaments dont do so well in that tournament... Thats fishy
  2. lol yeah those days suck. I can't lie
  3. Lol I know he was pumped just fishing with me. He was telling me how his friends weren't going to believe him. He seemed like a pretty knowledgeable kid though, I'm thinkin I can train him well
  4. I fished mattawoman creek last weekend. Caught a ton of fish on Senkos, but the tournament was won close to DC I think. It's gonna change because the fish are spawning. I'd say look for beds and if the females aren't on them fish structure around a grouping of beds.
  5. oooh thats tough. Can I say Mon river 10 mile pool? if it has to be a lake then loyalhanna ;D

  7. Kevin if you have anything to say, go ahead. There is no reason you shouldn't. Every member has the equal opportunity to post in my opinion. I never introduced myself, and I don't think anyone treats me any diffferently.

Lol that works I don't think that anyone can really tell you what you should get for a tattoo. You're the one that has to live with it on your body. But maybe for an idea, A gun/bow (whichever you prefer) and a fishing rod in an X-shape on your arm. That will probably take alot of detail though lol
  14. Well today I did catch some fish, but even better than that I made a new friend. I was at one of my favorite ponds for an hour before it got too dark to fish. I don't even know what made me go, it was just one of those feelings you get. So, I was walking along the shore and I saw a young kid (14 years old) sitting on the shoreline fiddling with a lure so I decided to walk over and introduce myself. After talking to the kid for awhile I asked if he fished for bass in any clubs and it turns out he just joined the club I started 4 years back The Loyalhanna Jr. Bassmasters. I told him that I started that club and he was amazed, after that I gave him my phone number so we could go fishing again. Taught him a few of the "secret techniques" for the pond and let him fish the shoreline ahead of me so he had a better chance to catch the fish. He was a great kid and very enthusiastic about bass fishing. I can't wait to go fishing with him some more since he only lives 3-4 minutes away from my house. All in all I walked away with more than a couple fish under my belt today, I came home with a new friend. ;D Wish I could get lucky like this more often.

  18. your right, I didnt really mean for the father to write it for him. As a sixteen year old he should be able to write it for himself, its good practice. Thank you for pointing that out though speedbead ;D
  19. It is a great story and I'm glad you shared it with us Key chain bass guy.

Glenn thank you for telling us what happened with muddy, I really appreciate it and I repect your actions. He was in the wrong in my opinion but I still hate to see him go. He was a great guy who always made everyone laugh with his posts
  21. lol thank you very much LBH. I love fishing in the northeast, the competition is great. Its hard to get lucky because you have to have a solid pattern.
  22. You came to the right place to get an answer to your questions about sponsorship. This is a great forum and some of the recent topics will help you very much in what you're looking for. First of all your son should compete in as many tournaments as he can, to get more exposure. I would even suggest him joining an adult club as well. He wouldnt be able to compete in the State tournaments as an adult if he wants to compete in the Jr. State tournaments but your son will learn alot more if he fishes with an adult club in club tournaments as well. I've been in his position and it helps alot. Second I'd suggest you make him a resume, it might not help as much now as it might in the future but its a good thing to have to show sponsors that are interested in him. Most of the time sponsors that are interested in sponsoring him will contact him in some way. There are plenty of resumes on the site that are great examples, try looking up JT Bagwells resume. I would also suggest he make a myspace if he doesn't have one already, I know this sounds off the wall but a company contacted me over myspace and its the start of a great relationship.
  23. Thats how mine was lol, but then theres a driving portion too
  24. I thought the reason Glenn took out the post count was so these kinda things didnt come up. Besides lol I thought this thread was dead
