  1. This also works for me. Sometimes that want a bit of spice, seems they hold on longer.
  2. Have you never been bit immediately when the lure hit the water? I have many times, I think the splash may get their attention somewhat. Musky fisherman do it on purpose. Not sure this always matters.
  3. I know where I will be going the next time I am in Memphis
  4. Used them for walleye, they excel at a slow troll bottom bounce technic, might work for Bass.
  5. Rage Tail Craw in Summer Craw
  6. Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Tennesee, Kentucky, Alabama, Florida, Texas, North Carolina. South Carolina there I think I got em all.
  7. Easily 6 baitcasters.
  8. I use this and have packed it in a bigger bag to Mexico with no issues. Have carried it on also with no second, look. I think mine is 8 years old and has held up fine.
  9. 15lb striper on 6 lb mono. It about spooled me 6 times before it was landed. Caught it in a school of white bass.
  10. Fisherman's Prayer I pray that I may live to fish Until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray: When in the Lord's great landing net And peacefully asleep That in His mercy I be judged Big enough to keep. In memory of Pops
  11. I have seen at times both come into play but on one occasion I believe the action of a crankbait made a difference. One one occasion my fishing partner was casting to a bank with a Manns-1 do not remeber the color and was catching them like crazy. I had the same bait in the same color and tied it on. I could not buy a bite and he continued to catch. In this case color played no part. As these were production made lures there was something about the action of his bait or his retrieve. I asked him if I could use his bait and rod and wham I caught them. This made me a believer that action come into play more then we think.
  12. Yes a 2500 size will be just fine.
  13. Unless the big bass are there to eat them!!!!!
  14. I feel lucky anytime I get a chance to go fishing.
  15. Only mistake was listening to the wife without practicing selective hearing, LOL
  16. I have to admit I hate that, LOL
  17. As far bait presentations I would definitely go with the advice. I have been proven wrong everytime I second guessed a guide. She was on the money with the hook set I experienced the same between the two technics. As far as casting there are times both ways are needed. She did her job, hopefully she also put you on some good fish. I always hired a guide with the perception that they are going to teach me.
  18. Besides if you keep up on it and the hooks are quality anyway it takes very little time to restore the sharpness.
  19. Ha ha I hate to be judgmental but it would behoove you to keep your guard up a bit. You did get some good shots in tho, LOL
  20. I have the older box which is a problem hanging longer blade willows. It looks like they make the new one deeper is take care of that issue. I think I will try this one.
  21. That B Mag was my first new baitcaster, was pinched on me, still wish I had it.
