I need a custom rod, where do I find them?
Well since, Alpster bowed out, I would recommend "flechero". Although I've never fished any of his rods, I have seen them in person and he does some fine work.

Orange Bowl
KU played their best game and they did what they had to do. Seems they could do no wrong most of the night. The KU coaching staff was clearly in the zone and made good calls the entire game. There were several things Tech could've/would've/should've done different but we know how that goes..... : KU Bassmaster, send me my new avatar and I'll get it up there. <-------- and there it is! I was hoping for a helmet or just a simple KU.... ;D
- What would happen?

That was a great game! The elements coming down hard, 70,000+ fans and Sid the Kid scoring the game winner in a shootout! Good stuff! Now back to watch Florida finish off Michigan.

The moment you've all been waiting for
Hey baitmonkey, I guess buying 7 GLX rods, a Loomis Shaky Head rod, a Loomis IMX, a Bronzeback Loomis, another Supreme and 3 Revo Premiers in the last 3 months dont mean nothin' to you, huh? ;D Are staff members even in the running for these awards?

Metanium mg or Abu Premier?
If it was my money, I'd buy the Premier.

Gambler Giggy Stick
I like the fact that they are hollow. It allows them to float straight up off the bottom and there's no thick plastic to get in the way on a hookset. I used the shad color this fall on a Spot Remover head around docks and they did real well for me.

Dollar-for-dollar, is e21's Carrot Stix the best?
I just popped open a rod tube that arrived today from Tin2win. The tube had 2 Carrot Stix in it. My first thought after seeing one IN HAND was the same as seeing one in an online picture.....man, these things are ugly! Other than being an eye sore, the rods are very light, look to be well built and I like the split grip, no foregrip design. The spinning rod feels a little more tip heavy than the casting rod but should balance out nicely with a Pflueger Supreme hanging off of it. I plan to stick a Revo Premier on the casting rod. Tin2win sent these to me to try out while his holes are all frozen up. I plan to get out with them this weekend and form a decent opinion on how they fish. And yes, they are light, but not as light as my Helium LTA's. Very interesting rods no less. Thanks for sending them Mike, I'll do my best to break 'em in.....hopefully they can handle a jigging spoon cause its about that time.

Winter Fishing Help Needed - How Would You Handle This Area? (PICS)
I'd fish the whole thing from the dam down with a chartreuse colored LC Pointer 100. If that didnt work, I'd start over with a chartreuse spinnerbait with a huge Colorado blade. Then if that didnt work, I'd try a crankbait, probably firetiger DT6.

Let's Talk About Crank Bait Rods...
Crankbait rods? Fiberglass all the way. I use a 7'6" fiberglass crankin' rod for ALL deep diving baits. I've also got an old Browning Silaflex glass rod that I use for shallow cranks...it's a great rod, does a fantastic job and BPS still sells them for $35....what a steal!
