The 12 hour 'ironman' tournaments give you the best of several worlds. You get the dusk bite, the late night shad bite and the topwater morning bite. You just have to be in position to be on the fish when the bite turns on. Make sure you've got good batteries and they are fully charged. A 12 hour marathon with lights going, livewells going and blacklights and such will run the batteries down fast. Take a light that you can clip on your hat too. It's a real challenge trying to tie a palomar in the dark. As for baits, I'm not one that is obsessive about using dark colors at night but I do generally throw bigger baits that move lots of water.

Yeah, from what I've read Dana White did everything he could except for agreeing to co-promote with M-1. Thats like paying cash for a new Ferrari and tossing the keys to your worst enemy. I dont blame the UFC, I wouldn't have done that either. They did agree to let Fedor fight Sambo like he wanted, he could wear M-1 gear, shirts, shorts, hang an M-1 banner in his corner and whatever else and they offered a pile of money per fight plus a cut of the PPV money. I think UFC's offer was more than fair.....but Fedor tucked his tail and ran the other way. If you're scared....say you're scared. Geez.

Is not going to happen. At least for now. Fedor just signed a deal with StrikeForce so he will not see any action in the UFC (against the best fighters) for a while. It kinda seems like Fedor wants to fight a bunch of nobody's to keep his 33-1 record intact. Alistair Overeem is the only HW in StrikeForce that even has a distant shot (at best) of beating down Fedor. Is he scared of fighting in the UFC where all the best HW's fight? Sure seems like it.....man up Fedor!

I like the new Rage Hogs and the Thumper worms are killer. The Thumper's put a few good fish in the boat in my last night tournament. I was getting so many bites with 'em that when I actually stopped getting bit, I refused to change. ;D My confidence in the Thumper worm built up rather quickly in just a 2 hour span.

I think all the leaks have come from lawyers... : It doesn't matter who is leaking the results. MLB tested everyone and those tests were to be kept confidential (since steroids were not illegal then) That means only a handful of MLB 'brass' knows who did and who didn't. MLB should have stuck to their word ----> CONFIDENTIAL

I used one for about a year to mainly do one thing. Find the docks that had brush or some kind of cover around or under them. On my home lake there's got to be 100,000 docks. I got tired of fishing 30 docks in one cove and only maybe getting bit on 2 or 3 of them. It was a very inefficient process. So I bought a camera and went to work. I would cruise a string of docks and look around and under each one, making note of which ones had cover or something unique that the others didnt have (dropoffs, stumps, tires, channel swing, etc). Now when I pull into a cove that has 50 docks, I can fish 12 or 14 of them and be done and moving to the next string of docks. I know some of you may be thinking "any dock will hold fish". Well, sometimes that's true but when you find the "money" docks that have cover and such, these docks seem to ALWAYS hold fish and most of the time, they are bigger quality fish. And like someone already mentioned, the cameras need to be used in clear water and when the sun is bright for you to get maximum view.

I didnt even know you owned any jigs....did you just buy some trailers? ;D I just bought the trailers. BUT......do you remember the other night when I helped you put in......and you left me floating around out there on your rig for a half hour because you had to park 2 miles away? I kind of "borrowed" a couple of your jigs. Nice selection....thanks bud! Come to think of it, I put a couple jigs in the tray where my trolling motor pedal is before I left the house. Then when I went looking for them later in the night, they were gone. I see how you are.
