How often do you buy ,or get a new rod, or reel,or combo.
As of right now? Not nearly as often as I would like. I would say that I am averaging about one combo a year.

Down Goes Fedor!
Didn't get to watch the fight but just heard about it. Wow. I guess it had to happen sometime. One of the other forums I frequent is absolutely blowing up right now.

Weird Fish Please Tell
That is a crazy way to catch that thing. When I first saw the picture of that thing in your other thread I thought, "Wow that thing looks like a mutated algae eater." It's a crazy looking fish for sure.

Pflueger Patriarch XT vs Shimano Curado 200E
The two major reasons I picked the Curado was the price and that it casts further than the Patriarchs that I have. Both are fine reels and I don't think you could actually go wrong with either. You are definitely not getting a piece of crap either way.

Big-O, you've done something very, very right.
Good job, man. Looks like a good one to me.

main point vs secondary?
Yep. Depending on where you are I guess. I think this thread has proven that a point is a point is a point is a point is a point.
-
main point vs secondary?
I don't know. I have never encountered those types of points. We have little water around these parts. I would call them "awesome".

Finally a Topwater Swimbait Fish
Awesome fish. It seems like it has been a while since I have seen you on here.

main point vs secondary?
I will take a shot of the diagram. It may look a little confusing because the lake is rather narrow and some of the tributaries are the same width as the main lake. The ones circled in red are points directly on the main lake body. The points in white are located in a creek so they are called secondary points. The secondary points are located off of the main lake in a tributary known as Little Blaine Creek. Even though they are technically called secondary points, they fish no differently than those on the main lake.

Year of the jig
Nice fish. A jig sure will produce after you start getting it figured out.

Update and Map of Oil Spill in Louisiana's Marshes
This whole thing is just bad all around. I don't think we have any idea how much of an impact this will eventually have.

pro fisherman
I would really enjoy fishing with a pro on my home waters. Screw fishing against them.

Polarized Sunglasses?
They drastically reduce the reflection of light coming off the water. http://www.polarization.com/water/water.html An expensive pair of polarized glasses are well worth the money. Your eyesight is invaluable and you should not skimp on eye protection. I have been using cheap glasses for the last few years and while they do offer some protection, they do not compare to quality glasses.

curado question
I would like to see that reel here. I always look forward to ICAST.

Falcon Cara T7
I don't have any information that will help you out but I do share your curiosity for the Cara T7 line. They seem like a quality stick and I will eventually break down and give one a try.
