Patriarch and light cranks?
I am sorry to hear that. I think you will really love your new reel, though.

P line Floro Clear?
I guess I will just have to see how it does. It won't break my heart to have to go back to CX Premium.

Flippin/Pitchin from a Jon boat
That is an awful short rod for flipping and pitching. I do not feel like you could get the leverage needed to get the fish out of the places you are flipping and pitching to. Short, easy roll casts are just as effective if the area is accommodating enough. When I am fishing from a Jon I find myself fishing this way when targeting specific pieces of cover. I am sure more experienced Jon boat fisherman will be along shortly. Perhaps they can give you some tips and techniques I am unaware of.

P line Floro Clear?
Dang it. I just ordered two spools of this stuff. What makes it inferior to CX Premium?

bass pro crankin sticks
I forgot to mention that you should make sure to wait and catch them on sale. They seem to be on sale about 6 months out of the year and they are usually about half off.

bass pro crankin sticks
They are good rods. There are a lot of good reviews here for these rods. If you are fishing cover in shallow water then go with the Medium Heavy. If its open water, the medium is nice.

Favorite Spinner Bait brand?
Really surprised to see that myself.

What's your opinion on this reel
No kidding. I wonder why they chose such a ridiculous number? In general, I have heard a few unfavorable things about Ardent. I will never own one as I cannot stand how they look.

No breaks on Sunday - anyone got tips I am game.
I agree with everyone else in that you do not need a leader. Bass are finicky right now and the leader might have put them off. Good luck and keep us updated.

Favorite Spinner Bait brand?
I voted Terminator for the piece of mind but I really like Strike King Spinnerbaits just as much. I don't think you can go wrong with any on that list.

medium heavy or heavy
I have the Powell Max and I use the Heavy for both applications. Their Heavy model still allows casting of lighter baits and has plenty of backbone which is a necessity for Jigs and Texas Rigs.

I believe I am officially a Mook...
I don't know if any Mook has ever ridden in the Posse before.

A "reel" dilemma? (UPDATE!)
I have an older Browning Citori just sitting here that I will let you have. I bought a bunch of reels lately and I know I will never really use this again. It is missing a button so the plate on the non crank side moves freely but it is still fully operational. If you do that, you still have the 100 bucks to spend on a decent reel. Let me know.

When will a bass bite again after being caught?
I was fishing with one of my friends and he hooked a pretty nice 3 lb. Smallmouth. He got it to the boat and was in the process of lifting it out of the water when it came unbuttoned. If fell back into the water and sat at the boat long enough for me to lower my tube in front of it face. It demolished it and I hooked up with it and caught the fish.

Penn 950ssm reel from factory
It does not look broken to me. Most spinning reels allow the user to change what side the reel handle is on. It looks to me like the handle is just loose and needs to be tightened up. The handle goes all the way through the reel so apply pressure to the side opposite the handle and give the handle a few turns. This should tighten everything up. I hope this helps. Maybe someone can explain this better than me.

You gotta go one time for sure. After that, support Tackle Warehouse.

My new addition
That looks pretty good. But that reel ain't no Quantist.
