  1. I agree Mr. Mattlures but I have noticed that if there is to much forage in small lakes or ponds then the bass dont react to lures like they normally do. You really have to pick the right bait and presentation to make them eat your lure instead of the dozens of other chances they would have at other forage.
  2. During the summer when theres alot of weed growth it is a killer big bass bait. I always have one on when im fishing topwaters in weeds during the summer. To answer your question, yes sir!
  3. Not sure about the same bass twice but the way I hook my t rigged plastics is I use a hook with bigger gap. Its called texposed. Look it up on google images. My hook has a bigger gap so the point is parellel with the worm. Still weedless but a way better hook up rate.
  4. I do wacky once in a while in the spring. Texas is better though.
  5. 3 pounds nice bass 8-)
  6. I dont fish a shakey head, jig, or drop shot. I like senkos when its calm and tubes when there is lots of vegataion or rocks. Hop and crawl tubes is deadly. Senkos on the fall, watch out! 8-)
  7. I love Mann's Swim Toad. In any cover just swim it slow and catch some big bass. They work best in summer and sometimes late spring. Theyre one of my go-to summer and big bass baits. 8-)
  8. Yes thats the only time I use them, when nothing else is working. Otherwise I rather throw a small spinnerbait.
  9. Come on guys, weve seen some great pics, keep it up!

  11. Good post X-Rap. He made a good guideline to follow. Good Luck, let us know how you do.
  12. Thanks guys
  13. Some plastics work better in some conditions than others. They just tend to out preform due to water conditions, cover, fish behavior, ect. As far as senkos go, what situations will you pick one up before you will a different plastic? Thanks everybody
  14. Here my fish for Pittsburgh PA: 3 lbs
  15. You just got to slow down and think. Match the forage, water conditions, and fish behavior. Switching baits and being a junk fisherman isnt always the solution. Try slowing down and figure out where the fish are and what they want.
  16. I love it for its no stretch ability which helps on hooksets.
  17. Agreed
  18. I'm not sure about even that much. I agree, it doesnt look an ounce over 5 pounds.
  19. Sweet bait and bass!
  20. Wow awsome fish!
  21. What is the best way to protect and preserve cork rod handles. Thanks, hope this hasnt been asked before.
  22. Had a great day at the pond on the end of my street. A little bit about it. Its very shallow, with a ton of weed growth in the summer. There is one deep hole that is about 5 feet deep then the rest is about 2 feet. It has a creek flowing into it and a small island in the middle. The island makes some nice dropoffs in and points to fish. I caught 5 bass total, three 2 pounders and two 3 pounders. They were all caught on chigger craws in deep weedy areas and creeks. I was just crawling it, shaking it, and hoping it and they just inhaled it. The first picture is the biggest one. It was about three pounds. Then on back to back casts I caught the other three pounder, it was longer just a little skinnier. Still fat, just not as fat as the first. It was really cool, because they were all quality fish(not much of a suprise because this pond is known to give up big bass). The three two pounders were all the size of the bass in the last picture. I caught the 5 bass in an hour and a half. Great day! This is what I mean when they inhale it!
  23. Holy crap, 141 bass, NICE!
  24. I hate using swivels. I always tie knots. The only baits I would use swivels for are jerkbaits and poppers, I believe it allows them to move more freely but instead I just tie a special knot. Take the time to tie knots!
