  5. Yep, we have had some 8's up here.
  6. My #1 bait last year, the tube has produced only about a half a dozen bass this year for me. Hopefully ill catch some on tubes this weekend on Erie.
  7. Your always catching huge ones, I just dont get how you do it. Nice Job
  8. Yes just use abnormally large baits. 12'' inch worms, big swimbaits, any lunker lures you have
  9. Erie is also very shallow for its size. I dont know what affect this has on the fish but it makes it warmer too.
  10. Not always true, normally true, but once in a blue moon its not.
  11. If the big females spawn first, then are they the first to move into summer patterns. I just thought of this today and never saw much info on it and was just curious. Thanks everyone
  12. I took a trip up there 2 weeks ago and only got 2 also. Bummer

  14. #1. Zoom Trick Worm in Watermelon on a 1/4 oz. drop shot with a 3/0 Gammy G-Lock Worm Hook on 10 lb test mono line. #2. Mann's Hardnose Swim Toad in a varitey of colors (whatevers suit the water conditions) with a 5/0 Gammy G-Lock Worm hook with 30-50 lb Sufix braid. Using them both in shallow cover. They been working for the past 1 or 2 weeks now. April and May was without a dought a Berkely Powerbait Chigger Craw in Black/ Blue or Red Flake with a 3/0 G-Lock Worm Hook and a pegged 1/8 bullet weight. Pitching it into shallow cover but that technique has come and gone. Its June now, on to Frogs!
  15. Get Watermelon/ Black and Red flake and Black/ blue flake. It suits different water colors and situations. Try these.
  16. I fish a lot of ponds on private property. I get permission to fish them. Most of the ones I fish are owned by friends of mine so I just ask and they are cool with it. Sometimes I just see a pond that is in a nieghborhood plan or on an old golfcourse and fish it. When I go to a new pond I just where my polarized glasses and look for bass swimming away from the shallows. Otherwise I just dont have a good idea till I fish it for a while. I am lucky because I do a lot of things that seem to get me hooked up with fishing peoples ponds. Just scout by driving on some roads, ask permission, be honest nice and sincere and sometimes they will say yes and others no.
  17. Sweet, some nice hawgs there
  18. Ya its a pretty nice one, I hope to catch an even bigger one soon.
  19. Yes we all know rob with your 12 pounder, i live in pennsylvania so cut me a break ;D thanks rob
  20. Thanks trav, yeah this is the 3rd year ive been trying to catch her. It was awesome.
  21. Got my new PB at a farm pond tonight! Caught her on a drop shot with a zoom trick worm. Watermelon/Black Flake. She weighed about 4.5 pounds. I posted about this bass about a week ago asking how to catch her or her mate(even bigger). Not to mention that ive been after them for almost 3 years. I took the advice and dropshoted for her. I caught her of of a submerged pine tree in about 3 feet of water. There a small dropoff in the bend of this pond and then a pine tree. I caught her really close to shore so not much of a fight. It was really cool and I cant wait to go back and try to catch the bigger one. Other than that caught some small ones on the dropshot and 2 bass of a Manns Swim Toad. First frog fish this year! Great night!
  22. I just saw a show on it. Looks nice and it probobly preforms nice but im passing on it for 20$. I have a hard time spending that on any 1 bait.
