Flexing Rods
Ive been curious to see if there are anyways to get a rod to be more flexible. I have a rod that has caught many fish the past 3 years and it is very, very flexible which results in more sensitivity. The rod i want to be more flexible is new, and is there anything i can do before spring comes to help loosen it up? Of course I dont want to damage it, but should I just sit in my living room and bend the tip every so often or what? Thanks everyone

2nd year braid
Every year at the end of the fishing season i remove my fishing line from my reels. I always start out with new line when spring comes. I got a rod and reel combo with 30 lb Sufix braid on it and was curious if it is nessecary to take that braid off and put new braid on in the spring? Over the winter normal line would become weak but im not sure if braid would do the same? Should I keep it on or replace it? Thanks everyone

Advice on crankbait
Try a shallower square billed crankbait. Bounce it off of any cover such as weeds, rocks, logs, ect. Choose the color accordingly with the water clarity. Rapala DT Strike King Models

Your most versatile lure/technique?
Any type of plastic. You can fish em fast, you can fish em slow. You can fish them on top, you can fish em down low. Hop or swim them for a faster, more active presentation or shake them for a slower, more subtle presention. My favorites are the tube, craw, senko, and ribbontail.

summer/fall fish finding
For me summer is all about vegetation, but deep water techniques can be very affective also although im not a good deep water fisherman so i cant help you with that. Soft plastics and frogs in the weeds are great.

Am I missing anything?
The hallow body frogs that you tipically retrieve slower seem to hook up more than the horny toad style soft plastic frogs. You have to let the fish get the bait and then set the hook. Personally I would just toss a worm or tube in that slop. It doesnt look thick so you could punch a soft plastic in there with no problem. I dont think you need that frog.

Crankbait Running Right
The line tie almost looks like a figure 8, but with half of the 8 in the bill and the other half out where you tie the line. The part in the bill has a cylindar going through the hole. So basically I dont think you can turn it at all.

Crankbait Running Right
I have a bomber fat free shad that runs to the right and need some help. I can not turn the line tie because how it is positioned. I already filed the bill to make it more round and replaced the old split ring with a new split ring. I tested it today and these modifications didnt do much. I really would like to fix this crankbait but dont know what else to do. Should i file down the edges so one side of the bill cuts through the water better or is there a specail thing i can do to the line tie? Im a bit confused so any info will be appriciated. Thanks all

Feminine side
;D No no but I kinda wonder what he would think of the lighter in my tacklebag.... its for melting baits back together. I actually came across the nail polish thing when a found a really old lure at the bottom of a pond. Wanted to fix it up and use the polish to help.

What plastics to use for flipping?
Always my first choice is a Chigger Craw but next to none would be a tube. Their my go-to's.

Feminine side
Im ashamed to even title this thread as Feminine Side, but I couldnt describe it as anything else. Lately I have discovered that nail polish and clear coat for nails will make crankbaits and rat-l-traps look like brand new. The clear coat fills in scratches and the nail polish will re-do some paint jobs. I know everyone has that one lure that they cant give up but it looks like you've taken a cheese grater to it, it may just last you a few more fish now. Sow if you need to fix up a lure or two go talk to your girlfriend, wife or for those "Men" who live in their parents basement, steal some nail polishes from your mom. ;D Sounds funny but just thought I'd share this with you guys. Good Luck!

Mann's Baby 1-Minus.
Down right the best shallow crankbait ive ever used. Actually just got back from a farm pond and caught about a half a dozen bass on the bluegill color in an hour. Waked on the surface or burned right beneath, it is just pure dynamite in shallow ponds and lakes. Its just a great crankbait period.
