I fish that lake quite a bit - I grew up there, it's where I learned to fish. I can vouch for the occasional oddball. Most are harmless. The further you get away from Route 30 (White Horse Pike) and head towards Haddon Township, the better it gets. I've not run into any problems with other anglers there. Big bass in there, though they can be tough to find.

I painted one of my -1's gloss black and used it at night as an alternative to a Jitterbug. Worked like a champ.

Step 1 - Take your gas grill out to the curb. Step 2 - Go get a charcoal grill. Step 3 - Follow the advice given so far. If you do use a Weber type kettle grill, make sure the lid vent is over top of the meat. It pulls the smoke over the meat. You won't get a lighter fluid or charcoal taste if you let the coals turn white (ash over) before you cook.

Is there anything that this stuff isn't good on ? I'm eating potato pancakes made from leftover mashed potatoes with a healthy dose of OB. Yum. I guess the only thing I haven't had it on so far is cereal, and that just may be next.

All I want is a clip light for the bill of a ballcap that isn't made like a piece of shite. A well made l.e.d. light with METAL clips. Is that asking too much ? Every one I've owned so far has been a disappointment.

It's called "fishing ", not "catching" I wish I had half the stuff back I've lost in 30 years. It seems like this has got into your head. Step back, take a breath and shake it off. Follow that advice about catching gills. I just got home from the lake. One 6" perch in 6 hours of fishing. Nobody else I talked with at the ramp did much better. We'll all be back next week for sure.

They all are capable of catching fish. The Spooks have been around forever, they gotta be doing something right. You're just going to have to experiment. I personally don't obsess over paint jobs on topwater baits. The fish can't see it, although I like a white bottom because it looks like a belly.

I put all metal parts,including bearings (with non - metallic shields removed if needed) in a glass jar of acetone to soak. Non - metallic parts get washed with diluted Simple Green.

I'm what you call a minimalist. I like to travel light, so my tackle bag is tiny compared to most. After fishing well over 30 years, I've narrowed my stuff down to what works for me. Tubes are a mainstay as there are umpteen ways to fish them. Flukes, a few hardbaits that cover all water depths and a couple of other baits round it out. My color choices are pretty basic, I stick with mostly natural tones. I carry two rigs most of the time, sometimes three. 30 seconds to tie on a new bait doesn't bother me. I always have my ul rig, that has saved the day many times. As I fish out of a kayak, this is just about a necessity anyhow, although I do the same when fishing out of my jon boat. When I bank fish, one rig and a few baits in my pocket is about it. I don't feel like I'm missing out as I catch my share and get the occasional fatty. It works for me. Do you "bring it all and then some" or do you go light ?
