Could someone please enlighten me
If you can find this type of cable tie http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://images.drillspot.com/pimages/409/40938_300.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.drillspot.com/products/124032/Tyrap_TY537MX_Mounting_Head_1_4_IN_Screw_Hole_Cable_Tie&usg=__lRuJ83WnSIwPHMhDsdP9JPCr6As=&h=300&w=300&sz=61&hl=en&start=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=990WvCZ_22sddM:&tbnh=116&tbnw=116&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dwire%2Bties%2Bwith%2Bscrew%2Bholes%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26ndsp%3D20%26tbs%3Disch:1 in the appropiate size it works well. I've done it on several rods and it worked out good.

Just a good pic
Young catfish? That's my guess. As for the snake, water snake?

frog fans
Bingo. That goes for just about any topwater bait. Why do you think a $4.00 Rebel Pop R in a solid bone color will put as many quality fish in the boat as a bait costing 4X as much ? When it comes to topwater, bass don't know a meticulous hand paint job from crayon scrawlings done by a 4 year old. To a bass, white = the belly of something good to eat...

Why couldn't it have been a cement mixer ?

Good grief...ESPN is gonna milk this cow until she shrivels up and falls over dead.

Crank-banking...catfish?
Bet you he just about crapped when he hooked into that ...until he saw what it was.

Is it the heat?
I'm finding them buried deep under the scum mats. Gotta punch through with something or call them up with a frog.

budget spinning rod
Go with the Triumph. A good solid rod with a five year warranty. A bit heavier than their higher end rods (of course) but suprisingly well balanced and sensitive. It's not a 'bling' stick if that's what you're looking for.

bucoo vs. lowrider
I got a Lowrider last year and have zero complaints. Falcon makes some nice rods, I think they get lost in the mix and that's a shame.

Thought this was too funny!!Kayak angler atacked by goose.
#@&% ing skyrats. I hate 'em. Most of my fishing mishaps have been goose related. Climbing a hill at a farm pond I came upon a mother goose on her nest at the top. We scared the crap out of each other, I went tumbling backward down the hill, my tacklebox dumping it's contents the whole way. Another time I was walking a lake and slipped in a big fresh pile of goose shite. Did that in front of a bunch of walkers and joggers. There's no recovery from that

What have you purchased recently????? 2010
Welcome to the club. Now you have to catch one of these from it I'm almost there... I have caught a few pigs at one lake that has lilypad fields as far as the eye can see. That's one advantage of a kayak; I can get where most won't dare go.

Old Jitterbugs vs. new ones
I'm gonna take a shot at making my own... http://www.craftparts.com/eggs-fruits-wooden-eggs-c-249_251.html

Night time jitterbug Queston
Replace the hooks on your Hula Popper. It's got the same crap hooks as the Jitterbug.

necessary salt water shore tackle.
I don't do a ton of saltwater fishing, but I can tell you if you use clams, use fresh only. Frozen clam when thawed is a soggy mess that is difficult to keep on a hook. The fish prefer fresh anyhow.

some fishing help please
Try something slow and noisy, like a jig wth a rattle. If the water has mats of scum or vegetation, you could try a frog bait.

Odd question
If it's a frozen blue chunk of ice, it came from an airplane's lavatory. I don't think they're worth much

"Convenience fee"
Have a blow out, end all, cops from three neighboring towns on site kind of party and trash the place. You'll likely lose your security deposit (in addition to a place to live) but they will know you are not happy with their policy

New/newer reels already feel "Grindy"
If you bought the floor models "as is" without any warranty, I recommend a thourough teardown, clean and lube as a starting point. Floor model reels are like rental cars, been beat to death by everybody.

The Show "Lost Lake" a Fraud?
The vast majority of fishing shows are about as exciting as watching grass grow. Most of them are nothing more than infomercials. Why should the premise of fishing an unknown lake be intimidating to any angler ? Especially a "pro" In fact, I'd like to see a show where several pro's have to fish a body of water they've never been to WITHOUT electronics of any kind. A boat and their gear. That's it. Now that would be interesting to me. Maybe include a few amateurs in the mix to keep it honest.

Bass or turles??
Next time you get a strike on the frog...WAIT until you feel the weight of whatever is trying to eat it then drive the hook home. If it feels like a tire, you have a turtle. Bummer for you. Or it could be a monster bass.

What have you purchased recently????? 2010
That reminds me that I have a pack of Yum Doozees I never tried out... As for purchases, I got myself a fishing kayak a couple of months ago: http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=420899&pdesc=Perception_Sport_Caster_12_5_Angler_Kayak&aID=504M2&merchID=4006 Got a deal on it at Dick's during a Memorial Day sale. Came ready to go with a rod holder, seat and anchor. It's a tad heavy for a kayak at around 60 lbs, but it is rated for 400 lbs ( I don't think so) and it's 12.5' long. Very stable and quick through the water.

If it's got Hussein's face on it, use it as toilet paper.

$28 million....for a chair.
I know why it costs so much, it's the Mastodon tusks on the sides and the genuine Mastodon leather.... Robert's been busy in his workshop

Having survived a Jonas Brothers concert several years ago, I can relate. Now the mention of their name gets the "ewwww" response. Girls. Fickle creatures they are.
