  1. Ooooooooh..... is that a "tramp stamp" tattoo on the back!?
  2. Ha! Check out the FAQ link on that site . They use genuine Eagle Claw hooks on some of their stuff. Sheesh, you figure for that kind of money they'd spring for the Owners or the Gammys...... I guess if a pimp wanted to go fishing, this would be the place to gear up.

  5. Yee Haaaa!!
  6. Man, nuthin' like rubbing it in a cold and wet Yankee's face Great fish by the way. What did you get him with ?
  7. Hey Muddy - Did you at least catch any fish for all of your troubles ?
  8. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0065495124306a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&No=54&Ntk=Products&QueryText=jigheads&sort=all&Go.y=10&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&Go.x=15&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1
  9. That could be a loooong thread!!
  10. I'm a mechanic. A bad day for me is having a $250,000 engine go to *&$#. An engineer gets twice my salary to purposely push that engine to destruction to learn it's limits. And stays clean, warm and dry while doing it. Pretty obvious choice, eh ?
  11. That's cool. Another way to look at it is to see how many baits survived over the years, like tubes for instance. Remember when they were THE must have bait ? Now it seems mostly the smallmouth guys use them.
  12. EWG = Extra Wide Gap - used for rigging thicker worms, tubes, creature type plastics etc. Leaves room for the bait to move when the fish bites down on it so more hook is exposed.
  13. Now that's )&$#&(% hilarious
  14. Check out this video of the equipment used to recover the airplane from the Hudson River. Weeks Marine is one of my (employers) largest customers. We repair their Detroit Diesel engines in just about anything they own, from 2 cylinder generators and pumps up to 2400 cubic inch tugboat main engines. If you think the stuff looks big in the videos, imagine seeing it up close as I have. It's mind blowing what they can lift.
  15. As the Northeast PETA representative in charge, I am outraged that you would be so low as to staple turbans onto the heads of defenseless Canadian geese all for the sake of a cheap, unfunny, tasteless and cruel joke. What's next, putting diapers on sea kittens for your amusement ? This is far from over, buddy, Muddy, whatever your name is. All I can say to you, sir, is I hope you sleep well at night....
  16. One of our dogs is a chihuahua I can't stand. I wonder if he'd make a good swimbait ? :
  17. I only own one Quantum. My only beef is the finish, it didn't hold up for long at all. Mechanically it's fine. Maybe you'll have better luck.
  18. Nice job !! I do the same thing. I save every scrap of plastic. Never tried the long worms yet. I will now.
  19. As part of my cabin fever therapy, I'm gonna start making some lures. A hunter I know hooked me up with a deer tail so I could start dressing my trebles. It's in good shape I guess, it's not matted or doesn't smell bad or anything like that. It's got a little dried blood, that's about it. 1) Should I attempt to clean it, or just leave it be ? If so, how ? 2) When I'm ready, do I just cut the hair or pull it out ? 3) Is there a "shelf life" to something like this ? storage ? Any links or advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  20. I've read numerous articles that have said that a majority of the critters biologists have removed from bass stomachs are generally in the two inch range. Of course they won't pass up a huge meal (10 inch worm, anyone?). My guess is a majority of their food intake is small critters that are easily caught with minimal effort. Raul, with your background, maybe you could shed some light on this ?
  21. We have a Chinese wok with a big dome lid. It makes the best popcorn. I think because it gets really hot really fast. We use the bagged kernels, the particular brand does not matter.
  22. First Pizza Hut and now Subway ?? What's next, "What's your favorite Hot Pukeit" ?
  23. If I'm not mistaken, they DO NOT deduct taxes from unemployment benefits, but you are still liable. If that is true, it's best to try and put aside some of each check to offset what you may owe. Owing the department store $$$ is one thing, Uncle Sam is another. Hope all goes well for you.
