frustrated
I find this very frustrating as well. I like to go after the fish under the school. If you plow right through the school make sure your lure stands out from the pack by using a larger size or distinctive color.

Bottle or Can?
How do I love canned beer? Let me count the ways.... -cools down faster -easier to store -easier to dispose -lighter -cheaper -chugs faster -safer (never seen anyone get a can busted over their head or cut by a can) cans > bottles

Atlanta Bassers?
You must be tired of catching all those 8 pounders I used to live in Clayton county and there are a couple of nice reservoirs there: Blaylock, Shamrock, and J.W. Smith. P'tree city has a lot of little lakes too.

TEXAS RECOVERY---STEP UP AMERICA
I know how you feel. I have gone through several storms but Ivan was the worst by far. It is difficult to describe the feeling of knowing that you may lose everything that you own including your life. We were fortunate in that no was hurt and we recieved minimum damage. We lived on a river at the time and the water raised about 7'. Fortunately, our house was on stilts and we did not get flodded, unlike our neighbors that had 4' of water in their homes. Our yard was covered in 2" or more of muck and dead fish. It is hard to describe the putrid stench that lingered from the mud and dead fish underneath brush piles. The ants were out of control and tough to keep out of the house and the mosquitoes were unbearable. We were without power for 9 days(95+ degrees), waited in lines for ice and gas(2 hours+). It is very weird to go into to a grocery store with little or no bread, meat, or milk. I did not miss hot water because taking a cold shower was the best way to cool off. This experience definately helped to put my life into perspective. It helped me to realize that I may not have much, but I have what I need and I am thankful for all that I have.

REAL friends
;D ;D ;D I do not know where I would be without my close friends. I moved from Atlanta about 5 years ago and still manage to stay close with my best friends. I would do anything I could for them and I know they would do the same. They have helped me through some really tough times and have shared some truley great moments.

How have you progressed this year?
This has been a really fun year for me and I am pleased with the success I have experienced. This can be attributed, for the most part, to becoming a multidimensional fisherman; whereas, I previously fished primarily with soft plastics. I am now comfortable and confident using topwater, cranks, and jigs. I have really developed a fondness for frogs and spooks. Also, I am getting better at trying to find a pattern and "thinking like a bass." I really appreciate all the information that I have gathered while a member of this forum. Other accomplishments worthy of mention: - caught my PB LM around 7# - a dozen or more fish over 5# - caught a 5# spot (many over 3#) - caught a 50# spoonbill catfish ;D Most Importantly: My father and I have spent more time together talking than we have ever done in my life. I truley cherish and am very thankful for every second we spend together fishing.
