The #$%*%^ bit me!
I'm getting ready to... ;D You showed him. LOL Can I give some constructive critisism on the fillet. I cant tell for sure but if your cutting that tail portion all the way off unless you like cooking with the skin. If you go to just about the end of the tail and flip the fillet up you can then use the flat board to cut the fillet from the skin. It works a whole lot better then trying to hold onto the skin and cut the fillet off it.

Try barlows, stamina, or ztackle. One of those guys are bound to have it.

Gamakatsu is strong...
ruined that hook been there done that. Thats what cxx will do for ya almost always get your lure back. Make sure you cut about 5-10 ft of line off before you start fishing it again. CXX is super stong but you probably streached it out and it will start snapping on you if you try that again. Learned that one the hard way. :-/

St Croix Avid vs Premier
IMO, I've delt alot with the two and straight forward. Pay the 50-60 bucks and get the Avid. Its one heck of a good rod. I'm not a fan of the premiers that much. I'd much rather pay the little difference for a much better rod IMO.

Clay Molds
You can do that with the silicone mold like DP is talking about or the plaster mold. I have a couple 2 piece frog molds that i have made. Actually threw one away the other day. Somewhere through the tutorials on here SenkoSam has a tutorial that shows you how to make a 2 piece pop mold.

Clay Molds
Bondo is easier and there is no epoxy. I havent used the bondo enough to know yet of durability and heat strength. Another forum member told me about it. He uses it all the time. The problem with POP is the epoxy will break/flake off and it will have to be re-epoxied. I dont know if you can make a 2 piece mold with bondo but you can with plaster. I've just started with the bondo but so far I like it better. I dont get the air bubbles in it like I do with plaster when making a mold.

if you want cheap the plaster of paris is the way to go. About 8 dollars at wally mart for 10lbs. and then you will need some good epoxy like devcon.

NIGHT FISHING
skeeter repellant. ;D One good thing about night fishing is you wont get a sunburn, no jetskiers. Night fishing will make you a better "feel" fisherman

Weedguard stiffness
I use the .018 that barlows sells. I'd rather lose a few mor jigs then a few nice bass.

Clay Molds
here are some materials you can use plaster of paris and epoxy durhams water putty bondo resin So far I really like the bondo over plaster. I havent poured it much but its easier to make and less time consuming. It is more expensive though.

- What's your favorite bass attractant?
Thats the one I really like. I also have some Lure craft scents and yum which are good too. I dont think they always make a difference but in some instances they have worked real good for me. Sometimes they help keep the skunk out of the boat.- Norman DD 22s
The dd22 is one of my favorite cranks. Just about the only one I throw for main lake points. How I fish it: Fan cast a point. I crank the bait as slow as possible but to where it still dives to max depth and I can feel the bait hitting the bottom or the bait wobbling. Once you learn this bait you wont throw much else in the hot summer on points. - What's your favorite bass attractant?
