I decided to cast mine. Water temp was 43-45 but the crank bite was happening. I was throwing a balsa squarebill crankbait I've been working on. It was a pretty good day for us.

Sounds like that spinnerbait was not designed to fish that fast. Its a slow roller. Your blade combination with the weight of the bait will all effect the speed of the retrieve.

I have the black. I'm still learning how to use it. Like said above a good computer is a must.

Green pumpkin, black blue, bama bug are good choices imo

Rippin is correct. I use a rubber collar that you can slip over the hub.

My biggest one is don't step on my seats.

I do because I have to fish when I have time. I can not wait for a perfect day and time. If I did I would never be able to fish.

I've never had plastics go bad due to shelf life. In any brand. The only time I've ever ruined any is by having them melt to something else plastic or the ol oops I mixed elaztec and plastics when they first came out. I have some plastics that are pretty old. I think a lot of the store clearances has to do with end of the year inventory counting and taxes.

Almost everything I buy anymore is online or from the tackle shop I use to work in years ago.

I fish more subtle baits. I'll throw tubes, jerkbaits, jigs. The jig trailer is either a chunk or a subtle moving craw.
