Still throw the Mepps Comet Mino, in sz 3, 4, & 5. Great for quality bass, pike & walleye. Make sure you use a good ball bearing swivel to avoid line twist. Use a wire leader when fishing for pike. BB

If your going to use a snap, make sure it made with rounded bends, for better lure action. get rid of the o-ring. (less hardware) Spro "Little John" shallow runner, is a great crankbait, for small lakes & ponds. GOOD LUCK!! BB

If you just want to flush the old grease & oil out of the gears etc, without taking the reel apart, Sherwin Williams makes a dry degreaser. It's called Tri-flow Rapid Clean. Just spray on and let dry. Leaves no film or residue. Grease & oil up your reel, and your good to go. BB
