  1. Like Eddie stated, I also did good with them years ago. (My first bag of worms I ever bought was the 6" Tournament Worm, in the black grape color.) Last week I fished the 4" tournament(tequila sunrise/green fleck) on a 1/8oz ballhead jig. Caught a couple of small bass, nothing major. That could be a killer combo for smallies, if they're as far north as you are. You should check 'em out ! GOOD LUCK !!
  2. Remove the split ring, the less hardware, the better !
  3. Use it as a jig trailer on a Evolution 3/8oz, heavy cover jig. I trim 1/2 - 1in. off the tail before rigging.
  4. Hey Guys: Need to replace a dropshot/splitshot rod for a one that broke. (My own fault!) :'( Want to spend between $100-$150. Any suggestions ? Thanks, BB
  5. 3/16oz. finesse jig with a netbait paca chunk trailer.
  6. Try dropshotting a Zoom tiny brush hog, on a #4 or #2 Gammy split/drop hook. TW has them for 2.79 for 15 baits. Decent color selection too. GOOD LUCK !
  7. Bass Wrangler: What's your rod, reel, line setup for fishing the Bronzeye ? If you don't mind me asking ? Thanks, BB
  8. I agree with Mrs. M., Great idea ! It forces you to concentrate on that one new bait. It'll sure cut down on all the tackle clutter in the boat.
  9. Splitshot a Zoom super fluke or tiny fluke on 6lb. line using a 6'- 7' med. light spinning rod. Use a #2 to #4 Gammy splitshot hook . Hook the fluke thru the nose, with the point coming out of the head. Attach a small shot(or two, depending on depth) 12" - 18" above the hook. Retrieve with short jerks and pauses, letting the bait glide on a semi-tight line. Killer on non-aggressive fish!! GOOD LUCK!
  10. After each cast, make sure you close the bail manually(by hand) instead by cranking with the handle. This helps avoid line twist. Good habit to get into.
  11. In clear water, I'd go with a flourocarbon leader.
  12. X2 !!!
  13. Never tried it on a spool. Just use it as leader line. :-?
  14. Tuf line XP (moss green) 50#
  15. It could be that the spool is not seated down on the post all the way. Check the underside and see if there's debris inside of it, preventing it from being seated properly. This would cause the spool to spend more time in the up position when rotating, hence more line at the bottom of the spool. Hope this helps !!
  16. The best time to use them is : any time and all the time !! You can bottom bouce them, swim them thru suspended bass, flip 'em & pitch 'em, drift with them. Allways have one rigged up & ready. GOOD LUCK!!!
  17. That does it !!! I'm moving to FLORIDA !!!!!!!
  18. Iovino Splash-it !!!
  19. BPS Tornado. (3/8oz. White/Chart skirt, Silver blade.)
  20. Hey Hammer: Just picked up a spool of #10 lb. Ultra Soft from Cabela's. Would that handle 1/4-1/2oz jigs? Thanks, BB
  21. Pinch off a 1/4" to 1/2" off the body, and use as a skirted jig trailer. Awsome action! Good Luck! BB
  22. Which line would be better on a baitcaster, when throwing jigs for bass ? (this topic probably has been posted before, I did a search and could'nt locate it.) Thanks for all replies ! BB
  23. Daimon's Destiny Jig, 1/8oz. 60 degree flateye, roadkill camo, with a Net Bait tiny paca chunk trailer, in alabama craw. Great finesse Jig! too bad they're not available anymore !
