  1. Big guy with an even bigger heart. You're the best Big-O. WTG!!!!
  2. Once again you've shown me how pathetically human I am.
  3. From a couple weeks ago.
  4. I heard rumor posse is re-locating to China. Too rich for my blood though.
  5. Gmann is D Man when it comes to jigs. Welcome aboard Mike! Too bad we didn't get to fish together at KY Lake. I was forced to fish with Long Mike (Back of the boat trolling). Keri and Glenn got him to slow down the next day though. Had to get my monthly shot in at Mike here. Since I couldn't get you to part with any jigs at KY lake, I'll be placing an order soon. Check out his site. Great stuff - great prices. Pretty good guy too.
  6. Best value in jigs out there. Quality materials throughout and you gotta love the wire tied-on skirts. Never again have to use wire ties or cast your jig out and reel it back in without a skirt. Great prices too!
  7. Where did you find them for $90.00? Might convert an Abu guy. (Clean out your P.M. Box)
  8. Totally agree with JF. If frog is gone, either fish has it or has taken it under and let go. Set the hook hard as soon as you cant see the bait. I used to wait until I felt the fish and alot of times by the time I reeled in slack and hit 'em, I missed. If you get a blowup and you can still see the frog, twitch it a few times. if no hit, Toss a Senko into the hole the fish made and let it sink. Most time this will work. Also, remember, a hookset costs you nothing. If you get a strike and bait is gone, check quick to see if line is moving , then hit 'em. Sometimes no matter what you do, you will miss as the fish inhales a pound of grass around the bait and when you set the hook, all you're doing is pulling the whole mess out of the fishes mouth. I've found if a big one blows up on your bait and you no longer see it, he either has it and is back in his hiding spot or has taken it down into the slop and it is fouled up with weeds. Feeling is pretty similar unless fish decides to take off. Hit 'em with all you got!
  9. Friend of mine gave me a couple to use. First glance they looked like L.C. I think they're O.K and for $1.88, they are great. If I hang one up and can't get it free, I'd rather it cost $1.88 than $15.88. Only problem I have had with lips breaking off on any cranks is when I cast up onto the rocks. Duh!! Lips, Eyes come off, hooks break. Even on "more expensive" baits. Never a problem just bumping off stuff. Still have about 200 KVD 1.5 and 2.5 I got at BPS spring classic I don't know what to do with. These baits rock! Everyone has their opinion. That's what this forum is all about. Just try to keep it at a civil discussion, not an argument.
  10. Check E-Bay. Make sure you get the glass bottle version: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Mend-It-soft-plastic-lure-fixer-/300370266347?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45ef7688eb http://cgi.ebay.com/Senko-glue-welder-Mend-it-soft-plastic-lure-fixer-/300370266662?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45ef768a26
  11. The Toads sink, but very slowly. Just start reeling when it hits the water. Not a bad thing though. If you get a blowup and miss, let it shimmy down and twitch it and most times you'll get bit again. Better paddling action than the Horny Toad IMO. The Space Monkey is my second favorite Ragetail bait, right behind the Rage Shad. The Monkey might be the most versatile of the Rage line. You can flip it, t-rig it, c-rig it, swim it on top or anywhere from top to bottom and even use as a jig trailer for a different look. Gotta love the Monkey!
  12. Definitely wait for reviews as others have said. Keep in mind North American Fishing Club is heavily sponsored by Pure Fishing. Price is the same as 150 yds of Suffix 832 and 1/2 the cost of Seaguar Tatsu. I've heard alot of good and bad about the Suffix and alot of good about the Tatsu. For me, price should be relative to performance and with this, that is still an unknown.
  13. What makes it almost 2 to almost 3 times as expensive as 100% flouro, which is pretty good line? Just askin' http://www.***.com/Berkley_Trilene_100_Fluorocarbon_Clear/descpage-BTFCC.html http://www.***.com/Gamma_Edge_Fluorocarbon_Line/descpage-GEF.html
  14. Abu. Looks like posse leads in voting but posts look neck and neck.
  15. See above from first reply. X2. I use 50lb. though.
  16. Can't say enough good things about Megastrike. Bobby's a great guy also. Wish he would make a Roadtrip. (and bring Danny) That would be 2 guys I'd definitely want to hang out with!
  17. Well said. How long does it take to change hooks on a crankbait? A lot longer guaranteed. Or sharpen a hook? I know alot of guys just throw out a dull hook but what if it's on a crankbait you're tearing 'em up on? Do you throw the bait out? What if it's the last one you have. I'll take the time to sharpen the hook or switch it out if it's too far gone. Also, stuff like this can be done in the "man-cave" while watching the tube and no time is wasted at all.
  18. I routinely check my scale with a 5lb and a 10lb weight from my weight set. It has always been dead on. If you check scale and it is off, adjust accorcdingly. That being said, nice fish but 2 years ago? Probably gained a few since then like the rest of us.
  19. The Cigar also insures that you will have the stretch of river you are fishing all to yourself. P.U.
  20. War Dept.? Pretty brave when she's not around. Does she have access to the site? Remember, she left me her email address.
  21. Rage Shad will kill in the pads. Like a buzzbait but weedless. Not many pad bass have seen buzzbaits. You can cover alot more water also and when you find a bunch, slow down. I've found alot has to do with what's mixed in with the pads. On my lake there is milfoil mixed in with the pads in about half the spots. The rest are fairly open within the pad field. You can use spinnerbaits, spoons, and I've had good luck swimming a 4.5" Shadalicious swimbait through the sparcer pads. A killer bait in the sparcer stuff is a Strike King Timber Spin, if you can find them. In the really thick stuff, a frog tends to work better for me. Let the conditions dictate what you use. Then fine tune from there.
  22. And provided you don't fish with Mike. I'd be interested but need to see cost and particulars about fishing such as boats, etc. Big-O - Can I fish a day with you? We'll finish our flippin class. C'mon Steez, R.W.

I'm sold. I had a plastic bottle that evaporated. I called the company and for shipping cost they sent me a glass bottle. Not only works great but great customer service also. See related post in "A Little Tip For Repairing Soft Plastics" thread in this section.
  24. Try Mend-It At a buck a pop, it fixes up my Rage Shads in a few seconds and also has fixed a good dollar amount of Senkos and Shadalicious Swimbaits. Work good as new. I've repaired about $20.00 worth of Senkos and Rage Shads the last 3 times out alone! If your in the middle of the lake and you're on a hot bite and you're down to your last bait, you can always fix up a few torn ones but you probably won't be able to or want to go buy new ones. Works on any plastic except Elaztec. Now if you get your baits for free from a sponsor.......

Snag Proof Phat Frog Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Frog Scum Frog Trophy. Ish's is my favorite. Never takes on water and is the easiest to walk the dog.
