Thanks a ton guys! I normally use the Palomar on everything else, but I just couldn't figure out how to tie it onto the buzzbait. I think I've figured it out though... Now it's time to get some heavier line and start saving for another rod!

Much appreciated guys! When using the palomar in this situation on a buzzbait, am i supposed to bring the loop around the entire bait? Or just do it around the head and hook shank or the blade part? Any difference? Still waiting till I can afford a dedicated buzzbait rod... Oh, how I need one...

Thanks a lot guys! I had just tied on both of them, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the line as I've had this spooled on for a little while already with no problems before. The end was definitely kinked and curled. I've been using it for a while and I like it pretty well, but maybe I'll have to use a heavier line or another brand... Thanks again guys! Can anyone come up with a diagram or something for me showing how to tie a Palomar on a buzzbait? I don't understand how it works, heh... bass_fin@tic: What line do you prefer for buzzbaiting?

What knots do you guys use for buzzbaits!? I just lost 2 Cavitrons to a big ol' bass in my lake. He ate 'em in the same place 2 times and snapped my line both times. Seen him a minute later leap outta the water with them lodged in his mouth trying to spit em out! I hope he gets them out and doesn't die. :'( I'm using Suffix Siege 10lb test and an Improved Clinch Knot i believe it's called. Can you tie a Palomar with these? Any illustrations?

Most of the time I manage 5-6 days a week for at least an hour or so. I'm a lunchbreak fisherman plus there's a sweet lake right in the middle of my neighborhood!

Agreed! Where you fish at? A friend of mine's always out on the Lantana bridge fishin and I go with him every once in a while... Been a long, long while since I've fished for anything besides bass, though.
