Maybe Small But Big Payoffs?
Nope. Just like Smaller baits don't necessarily mean Smaller Bass. A-Jay

Your Favorite Website To But Lures
Depends on what & when I'm looking to add to the arsenal. Several on line vendors are good including ALL the BR Sponsors listed on the right. But if you're looking for Lucky Craft hard baits - there really is only one. And before I post the link - a warning ************ I can not and will not be held responsible for all the $$$ you will inevitably end up spending here. The bait monkey really seems to like this one. If you plan on clicking this link, you may as well order several more storage boxes right now. A-Jay http://stores.ebay.com/I-Love-Hard-Bait?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

Does Your Pet Have An Arch Nemesis?
No Snow ~ they all love pulling the sled - although towing us on our bikes comes in at a close second. Jon Boats Basics
A 12 footer would most likely be fine for you & perhaps one more angler. However loading 3 humans (especially full frown ones) and associated gear / tackle in a 12, the boat might be a little undersized. I'd recommend going a little bigger, something at least 14 or 15 feet. You may get a better idea what you'll want / need by looking at the boats in person rather than on line. Good Luck A-Jay

Swim Jigs?
Swim jigs are very effective; much of it comes from their extreme versatility. The name is a bit of a misnomer in that they are not fished like a standard "Jig". They are for the most part, moving baits. When combined with a grub or swim bait trailer, the subtle slow rolling swimming action can be a big time trigger for both largemouth & smallies. Fished low, middle or high in the water column, through wood, weeds, rocks and even open water, the swim jig does it all. I have one tied on all season. A-Jay

What Lure You Think Gonna Land Next Pb Bass ?
My next Smallmouth PB will undoubtedly come from Lake Erie on a Jerk Bait. And my PB Largemouth will probably not be bested unless I'm fortunate enough to get back here ~ And I hope it's on a Big Crank Bait . . . . . . A-Jay

Favorite Crank Bait
X2 ~ SK is currently putting out Very Good baits, Reasonably Priced and they flat out catch bass. Additionally this 6th Sense Crush Flat 75X Crankbait has been a very pleasant surprise. From Opening day right up to now the Baby Bluegill & Green Sunfish have been getting chewed up. Quickly becoming a fan favorite. A-Jay

How Big Of An Anchor For My Kayak?
A section of some what Heavy Chain & rope makes a great small boat anchor. And if you cover the chain with shrink tubing it keeps it quiet and clean. Good Luck ~ here's a link A-Jay http://funcfish.com/2013/05/building-a-kayak-drag-chain-anchor/

Best Boat For Lake W/no Trolling Motors
I say go with a Hobie Cat Kayak Mirage Pro Angler 12 or 14 http://www.hobiecat.com/hobie-fishing-team/members/ http://www.hobiecat.com/mirage/mirage-pro-angler-14/ I'll tell you right up front that I do not own one as I fish from a canoe w/ trolling motor But - Try and Find a Single Mirage Owner who Does Not Absolutely Love theirs . . . . . Spec-Ops Bassing
I pulled another all- nighter on one of my favorite summer time lakes last night. It was warm, humid and flat calm all night. The complete stillness of these nights only makes them that much more intense. Conditions were perfect for tossing a jig & craw and that produced at least half the bass I landed. A single bladed spinner bait was the other half of this two pronged approach. The bite was slow to come on but once that quarter moon sunk behind the trees, both the brown & green bass found my baits quite appealing. I like that. Several fish coughed up whole and what looked like recently gobbled up crayfish, which gave me confidence to keep tossing the jig. Right at day break I started zipping a square bill crank around and managed a few more fatties. Didn’t catch anything really over-sized but on a night like that – they’re all good ones. On a separate note – Though I’ve been out with it a couple of times previously, this was the first night trip with the new Pinnacle rod & reel set up. I’ll be doing a review on it at the end of the month. Still need a bit more time with it first but my initially impressions are quite good. More to follow on that. A-Jay
