  1. Congrats ~ Nice Fatty. A-Jay
  2. It's Perfect. I purchased one of these several years back for my wife as she was just starting out. Worked great. Still have the reel but we did eventually upgrade the rod. Get it. A-Jay
  3. I wear a Mustang model. Go try them on - pay particular attention to how it lies on the back of your neck. My model uses a neoprene material that is quite comfortable. But I'll be honest with you though, if you're not going to wear it, save your money. Whether it's jammed under a seat or still in the store - it's equally as ineffective. A-Jay

Hello Patrick and Welcome to BR ~ Now what the heck are you talking about ? I get the feeling someone is trying to be funny . . . . . . A-Jay
  5. Hello Eddie and Welcome to BR ~ A-Jay
  6. Lucky Craft makes a sweet one as well. And if you're looking to present an up scale model, check out the LC 3.5 ~ At 3 inches and 3/4 ounce, it's a big bass mouthful. A-Jay
  7. Will this one be taking a plane ride too ? A-Jay
  8. I fish both one piece and multiple section rods. My stance is that if you fish quality & balanced tackle there is really no appreciable difference in sensitivity. If the convenience of a 2 piece rod makes your fishing experience better, go for it you'll be fine. Insuring that the rods sections are straight and remain secure will be your only and very minor concern. Good Luck A-Jay
  9. Different Club. That's the Mutant Micropterus Dolomieu Club ~ and one that incidentally, I am Not a member of. As you already know, the founder, charter member & long standing President of that very limited and prestigious club happens to be one Dwight Hottle - known to many as The Jerk Bait King. As I have no affiliation to this club (yet), you will have to contact his highness directly. I am looking forward to applying for membership in this club ASAP, as I hear the induction ceremony is most memorable. A-Jay
  10. Congrats on your Sweet New Ride. Wish you the very best of Luck A-Jay See, I'm "Working" also
  11. Hello Jake and Welcome to BR ~ I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for. I can tell you there is a wealth of fishing information right here. A-Jay
  12. Welcome to BR ~ From the Tip of the Mitt. A-Jay
  13. You & me both - especially during hard water season. Which explains why when you're here, I'm usually here too. A-Jay
  14. Brown Bass = Erie Green Bass = Sinaloa (Think further south) A-Jay
  15. Nice - So your clothes & shoes came from Toys "R" Us . . . . A-Jay
  16. I'll recommend Rules For Writers. An excellent and complete reference of essentials: straightforward rules backed up by concise explanations, realistic examples, and short comments on examples. A-Jay
  17. A-Jay replied to Brian Needham's topic in Gun Forum
My thoughts and feeling on OC are summarized very nicely here ~ A-Jay Open carry is more than open carry Brian G. Jeffs, 1st President, MOC, Inc. It’s true that open carry has many advantages: a faster draw, a larger caliber handgun and greater round capacity; sure it’s been shown to deter crime, and it is immensely more comfortable to carry in warm weather, but it is much more than that. Open carry brings gun ownership out of the closet. It shows your friends and neighbors, your state and your country that you are not afraid of taking on the responsibility of protecting yourself and the ones you love from evil. Open carry is a visible expression of our natural right to self preservation. Open carry makes a statement that we are not afraid to stand up to the “politically correct” ideology that has created a nanny state, where the government is there to help us if we just do as they say, and a pox on anyone that disagrees. Open carry can lead us out of this stupor and deliver us once again to the days when a man could stand tall and be proud of his community, his state, and his country. When you open carry you are saying to the world, I’m my own man, I’m able and willing to defend myself, my family, and if need be my community, my state, and my country. It also states that I’m willing to stand up and speak truth to authority. It’s shameful that we as law abiding citizens must stand up to authority, the very authority that we have empowered, when questioned about our lawful right to openly carry a firearm. But stand up we must. The open carry of a firearm speaks volumes and it’s says much more than just open carry.
  18. Like so many of us, I watched this entire event unfold on line. The past few season's I've been vocal here regarding my disappointment surrounding the poor live coverage of this event. Well, after this weekend, I'm singing a totally different tune. As an angler and overall BASS fishing fan, I can not remember any event that I enjoyed more than this years Classic. Always been a Fan of Randy Howell and to watch him come out of now where on the last day was fantastic. How can you not like this guy ? Really looking forward to televised version of this event and will be very excited to heard Randy's account of the events of the entire tournament and last day; after he's had time to relax and think about it for a while. BASS really needed an event like this and a Classy Champion like Randy Howell. Well Done. A-Jay

  20. Sounds like a Great Time. As for the Crowd's level of enthusiasm - Having a Home Town Boy win it all may have had something to do with it. Thanks for the Classic Review. A-Jay

  24. DT- 6 & Livingston Lures ~ this happens Every Year . . . . . My question is - do you think BASS will Ban the Livingston Lure like they did the A-Rig ? A-Jay
