  1. There's plenty of them here. I don't fish for musky as I'm eternally chasing brown bass. The musky always seem to catch me. Some I get, some I don't. Bass gear always leaves me feeling like I've brought a little knife to a big gun fight. Same goes for the bigger pike. A-Jay
  2. Nice Bass ~ New Personal Bests are always a Blast Congrats A-Jay
  3. No birds were harmed while making this video. This knucklehead took a poke at my Megabass topwater Bait and I wanted it back. Some days it just goes like that. A-Jay
  4. Fixed that one for you Swampy G. A-Jay
  5. Workout Day 2 today. While I'll grind through them all, Day 2 is a fan favorite for me. Well, except for the Step Back Lunges. They can be a little brutal sometimes. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  10. Back around to Workout day 1 today. Been eating pretty good & sleeping a little better, so going into this one, I felt like kicking it up a notch. So I did. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  11. That's wonderful. I've always really wanted to go to the moon. But I can't find my space suit. 😎 A-Jay
  12. These days it's a special event when my wife is able to fish with me. However last several season, there are rarely any other people fishing with me. But that doesn't mean I'm always alone. A-Jay
  13. This unit was deliver yesterday. I've got a somewhat full plate this next week of so, but I'll get it on the boat sooner enough. I'll let you bassheads know how it goes. A-Jay
  14. 24 Sept 2024 ~ . Last Update back in August noted that Lynn's Kidney function was SLOWLY / Incrementally improving. We're so grateful that trend has continued, as her blood numbers continue to improve, she still participates in dialysis 2 days a week. She's tolerating the procedure much better with only a an occasional headache in the aftermath. Lynn's kidney healing specific diet and hydration intake monitoring continues and does seem to be contributing to positive gains. Working with her assigned nutritionist has been key. Side note, I've always believed my own 'diet' was important and staying strict on what I've learned over the years has worked for me. However living through this deal with Lynn, and seeing first hand how 'just the correct diet' can change a once critically ill person, to one who is doing much better, really drives the point home. Next hurdle, Lynn's eyesight. Not sure if I mentioned it or not, with everything that was happening all at once, but during one of the many test /procedures done on her in the hospital, Lynn threw a blood clot into the back of her right eye. This has essential blocked 100% of her vision in that eye. So like so much of her life the past several years, she's had to learn to live & adapt to being a one eyed woman. There's been a learning curve as you might imagine. We've been to see two different eye specialists and there is an eye surgery scheduled for the middle of Oct to remove the blood clot from behind he eye. The expectations (insert hope) is that after the somewhat lengthy healing process, Lynn could regain some if not all of her vision in that eye. She's also been on blood thinners this whole time to help control the clot. She will need to ween down her dosage to a lower level prior to the surgery. As always, despite whatever these challenges may be, Lynn continues to amaze me with her upbeat, positive & live for today attitude. I love her for it too. Stay Well my friends and thank you all again. A-Jay
  15. I'm with @WRB Except I use Megastrike on everything and have been for several years. I don't even think twice about it anymore. It's just part of it now. Done. Can't say for sure if it gets me more bites, but I can't possibly believe it's hurting me either. My results speak for themselves. YMMV A-Jay
  16. LOL ~ That's an innate skill. You can not teach that ! A-Jay
  17. The SK burner has been a stable in my late summer and early fall brown bass hunts. And has accounted for several trophy class fish for me. I fish it fast & high in the water column. https://youtu.be/Z95g3H4qmp0?feature=shared&t=85 The Megabass V9 Double Willow Spinnerbait has a lot of the features I like except the hook is just a little smaller. Still gets the job done. https://youtu.be/NpVmd8ll1Dg?feature=shared&t=170 More recently the Freedom Speed Freak LM Willow Kilter Spinnerbait has been giving the the previously mentions baits a run for their money. https://youtu.be/ex3v1uogEcg?feature=shared&t=58 I use a SK Blade minnow for a trailer quite a bit. Mostly for the profile. A-Jay
  18. Early & mid September were good to me. An A-Rig & a 3/4 oz Spinnerbait accounted to these two. I expect the rest of my open water season here will be mostly a numbers deal. But I'm good with that too. A-Jay
  19. Workout Day 5 on this raining Sunday. There's no replacement for consistency. Day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year. Make the time & do the work. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  20. Owner advertises their split rings by size & "strength" (not sure what that means) Either way, I use #2 & #3 depending on the tackle & line I'm using with the RED. I only fish 1/2 & 3/4 oz baits and the size 2 & 3 rings works well with them. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Hyper_Wire_Split_Rings_Black/descpage-OHWSB.html Also I'd recommend the Oval split ring at the line tine. Same size 2 & 3 gets it done again. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Oval_Split_Ring_20pk/descpage-OVR.html As for hook size, (all short shank) on the 1/2 oz I go size 2 on the front (red) and 4 on the back. On the 3/4 oz I go size 1 on the front (Red) and size 2 on the back. (all of that happens south of the border and accounted for my green bass PB an 11-11 lb freak bass.) A-Jay
  21. Hi, A-Jay Your shipment from Precision Sonar is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Scheduled delivery date Mon 9/23/2024 Estimated between 11:00am and 3:00pm A-Jay
  22. The local brown bass population seems mostly receptive to my offerings in the April/May time frame. This includes size & decent number of big fish. Summer (late June/July) lake Menderchuck is like the dead seas for me when it comes to plus size fish. However it gets right again in August, Sept and even early Oct sees decent size fish and if I hold my mouth right, my numbers go way up. A-Jay
  23. Talk to your doctor. Very sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Really hope your treatments (as brutal as they are) can help you. My wife has been neutropenic for over 20 years. (Autoimmune neutropenia) We had to learn to 'live' with it. Febrile neutropenia is a serious side effect for people with cancer who are treated with chemotherapy. When your immune system is suppressed, an oral temperature of greater than 101 F or a fever of at least 100.4 F that lasts an hour or more can be a sign of a dangerous infection. Staying away from children and anyone who may showing even the slightest symptoms of a cold or flu has been critical. Sadly others being contagious early on doesn't always show symptoms. It's all about risk over gain. If you become sick or get an infection of any kind, it becomes a life threatening situation now. Your Chemo treatment will most likely be suspended while your recover from that. And not getting your treatments could have serious consequences. Our lives changed forever with my wife's diagnosis, We made THE number one priority in our lives to do EVERYTHING we could to give her the best chance of survival. It's a battle every day and it will need to continue forever. You can do this, but having your mind, body & spirit all going in the same direction, can be very beneficial. Good Luck A-Jay
