Winter 2024 / 2025 ~
It's all good. Temps are 'mild' - like 28 - one reason there's so much snow. But there's plenty of room for it and this area LOVES it. Lots of winter sports humans here and they thrive when it comes like this. Snow machines will be running around this place ALL NIGHT. I'll get some video of 'the first snow clearing' tomorrow. It really is impressive. #naddeep A-Jay

Anybody have DVT "soup" up your reel?
Talk to @Delaware Valley Tackle I've had "Several" reels done there. Spinning & casting. If you are happy with Like New performance, IMO the basic service will get you that. btw that Certate is a pretty sweet reel. A-Jay

Do you ever opt for translucent walking/prop baits when the water is low and clear and when you do is it also necessary to downsize?
I fish what I have confidence in. I do downsize in some situations but it's a small percentage of the time. I'm fishing for full grown plus size adult bass. It's not that they won't take a smaller offering, but by throwing mostly meal size lures that match what they are feeding on at the time, I get bigger bass, less bites, but that's the trade off IMO. If I were simply looking for bites, a smaller bait usually does that. One time a down size bait does pay off for me is when I might have already taken a few fish from an area and I'll go back through it with 'something else'. A downsized version of what I was catching them on initially will sometimes get few an extra bite. Fish some baits. Get some confidence. Learn what works for you. Good Luck A-Jay

Yes. I fish for SMB with topwater quite a bit in late summer in some pretty skinny, clear water. Long cast are important. Strike King Sexy Dawg Walking bait in Sexy Ghost Minnow has been very good to me. https://youtu.be/Vsl5A_YmHzs?feature=shared&t=43 A-Jay

Winter 2024 / 2025 ~
Living in NE did NOT prepare me for the SNOW BELT. Lake effect snow is a completely different animal. 2-3 inches an hour is insane and always surprises me that it doesn't make a sound as it piles up. As for liking it - I have to believe that it's why I have fish like this here. Shoveling the roof is almost worth it, almost. A-Jay

Shade Tree Mechanic
Nice Job and congrats on getting that squared away. My rigs are always under warranty. So a radio knob falls off, GM's got my back. (and I know I'm paying for it in the long run). btw-there's also a sense of satisfaction knowing the job is done by a trained professional, and not me. #wingit A-Jay

New concept?
Not new but times have changed. Current C & R of bass has been as rampant as Spay & Neuter every dog and almost for just as long. Is it necessary in every case ? Does it really 'help' ? The debate rages on. IMO, keeping a limit of cutters a few times a season is probably a good I plan. However, the quickest way to become my new best friend is to take a fillet knife to something like this. #nope A-Jay

Dogs And Coyotes
We hear them all year long but rarely see any. First few snow events we'll often see a few tracks. Folks lose small livestock here all the time, foxes and coyotes are blamed, mink too. Chicken coops get raided regularly. Seeing rabbit remains on the regular. For years my dogs were quite a bit bigger than the coyotes, now they're about the same size. Still, my dog yard is fenced in 6ft tall, but we still keep an eye out. Especially in the winter. A'Jay
