  1. LOL ~ ! A wise man indeed. A-Jay
  2. Dude ~ You just never know where any particular thread may end up . . . . A-Jay
  3. X2 You and me both Brother ~ need the bagginess in the Arse. A-Jay
  4. Oh I almost forgot - it makes a bit of a mess of your boat - - needles all over the place . . . . A-Jay
  5. Yup - Back in the day, a friend of mine and I did the same thing. And in typical fashion, we snagged Waaaaay more than we could use. It took us a while to get them all rigged & ready, but once we did, we set out to splash those bad boys all over the lake. Did I mention we were doing it, One At A Time - with a 10 foot Coleman Crawdad and a seriously under powered Minn Kota. We did take some fish off them though. Good Luck My Friend. A-Jay
  6. I've been buying it on line now for a few years and for all the reason already mentioned here. Additionally, if you fish in more than one state and / or travel a ways to fish in another state, that ability / convenience of getting the paper work done in advance is nice. A-Jay
  7. This Owner Ultra head works well for an option to the regular open hook presentation. A-Jay https://www.ownerhooks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=90&osCsid=37i26nt1hltng6aa0i8g5jsvd3
  8. I've said this before - Ike is truly a very skilled and highly passionate competitive angler. I especially admire his abilities during any one of the numerous "How To Video's" found all over the web. He has a very natural and highly effective delivery while describing / demonstrating every topic he covers. But why this seemingly articulate middle aged man, chooses to relay his excitement during a fish catch, in the manner in which he does, will always be a mystery to me. Those antics do not match his otherwise Professional presentation. A-Jay
  9. X2 ~ I especially enjoyed Denny Brauer's technique. "The Old Crotch Squeeze" looked effective enough but one might argue that a brief trip on the carpet might not be any more debilitating . . . A-Jay
  10. Chatterbait is my guess. Looked like a Z Man Original. Or - it might have been something he pulled from between his toes when his shoe fell off . . . A-Jay
  11. Very Nice ~ ! Nothing like starting the new year off by putting a good bend in a new rod, using a new bait / technique and in conditions you've not seen much . . . . . . Hope it's the first of many more successes for you. A-Jay
  12. Magnum not target species, like 50lb carp, are simply casualties of war. If you were targeting that fish you would probably have landed it - along with several others. So that one might not make the data page, more of an honorable mention I guess. Clearly you have skills so it's not like parting your line is a routine occurrence. But when I look back at seasons past and add up "the Big Fish" - there would definitely be more in that section if I'd landed the ones that broke me off. A-Jay
  13. Braving the elements and bagging some bass. Nice Job ~ A-Jay
  14. Very cool list of facts and figures Goose. I keep records but they aren't quite as detailed. Mine revolve around the conditions, time of day / night, weather &, moon phases. One thing I do keep track of is fish lost; specifically if my line or leader was broken. I really hate that. I do it to remind myself whatever that particular line, knot and conditions I was fishing (usually some structure) it didn't work and don't do it again. I've had a few seasons where I never broke off. And have had a few when it was more than I'd like. My Fluorocarbon phase was brutal. That's done now. It's braid and mono and I'm good to go. A-Jay
  15. I think it was the Berkley model - usually goes for 40-50 bucks. Thought it might be because they were a sponsor but they don't appear on the sponsor list. Either way, the digital model is an improvement over last seasons deal. A-Jay
  16. I really like the format and the coverage. I like the way the anglers discuss what they are doing and why. This kind of coverage is everything the Classic should be but is Not. A-Jay
  17. You would have no problem getting a Replica mount of that beauty - which would look good longer in the Man Cave. A-Jay
  18. I think his name is Fred . . something. A-Jay
  19. Fantastic Photo - and what a Gorgeous Fish ~ ! With results like that, I bet you won't wait another 5 years to do that again . . . . A-Jay
  20. I'm not the expert, (insert Dwight's name here) but Lucky Craft Pointers have accounted for some quality fish. (avatar) Both the 100 and the 100 Deep Diver are good choices and there are Several colors to chose from. A-Jay
  21. Nice job Dwight - not wasting any time. You're starting the year off right and could be signs of good things to come. btw - that's a sweet looking rod & reel combo there . . . A-Jay
  22. Happy Birthday to you Glenn I'm betting All 38,761 members here are wishing you the Same . . . . A-Jay
  23. Everything in Moderation ~ Including Moderation. A-Jay
  24. Here's to a New Year of Good Health & Happiness ~ A-Jay
  25. Go Braid man - you'll thank us later. 30lb Power Pro or Sufix 832 (in green) will work OK. If you're used to using say 6-10lb mono - a 20lb braid might be more to your liking. It's a little thinner and will cast better so it might be a better choice for you over there in the Granite State. A-Jay
