New Techniques
I spent much of this winter / off-season reading In Pursuit of Giant Bass by Bill Murphy. I am going to devote at least this next fishing season to that end. By learning the techniques he employs and adopting the mind set required to use those methods effectively, I'm hoping to see a whole "New" side to the waters that I have been fishing over the past few years. And maybe while I'm at it, I'll sore-lip a few worth posting here. Regardless of how it goes, I'm planning on posting a thread at the end of the year covering this venture. A-Jay

Do You Prefer Light Tackle Or Heavy Duty Gear For Bass Fishing?
There is no doubt that we you stick a good fish while drop shotting or any of the finesse rigs - there is almost always some period of time during the fight where the actual out come is a bit in question. I like that. A-Jay

Do You Prefer Light Tackle Or Heavy Duty Gear For Bass Fishing?
It is - and I do agree but I can also smell what ww2farmer is cooking. Enough fish manage to escape the final lip or net job that I don't want to help them out any. So, and I know you've heard this, I play with them once they're in the net. A-Jay

Biggest Bass In Pa (Possible Hoax?)
Classic - you just never know what each day is going to bring. The Internet does indeed seem to shrink our world considerably. If it were any one of us - we would have registered and posted shots of these fish without being prompted to do so. I hope to see a few photos of these big bass here. And btw - I'd like to make it public knowledge and state that I do like J Franco and never want to be on his bad side. A-Jay

Do You Prefer Light Tackle Or Heavy Duty Gear For Bass Fishing?
I use the lightest tackle I can for the situation I'm fishing. Sometimes, that's a 4lb test drop shot rig. Other times, it's a Heavy action stick and braid in the slop. As for a favorite - I like the system that allows me to land the fish I'm targeting as well as the occasional surprise. A-Jay

Favorite Recipes ?
The vast majority of my freshwater fish recipes involve bite size portions of the catch of the day, which could be anything from Bluegill, crappie, walleye, or pike, some very light breading and a vat of hot grease. The one exception would be panfried trout & eggs - thats a tough one to beat right there. For me, the less I do To the fish, the better it is. A-Jay

Let's Talk Hockey.
As a long time Boston Bruins fan I'll say this about the regular season; over the years there have been many , many regular seasons where the teams play has been scary good. Really Dominant. Then the playoffs roll around, a couple of bad bounces for us, a couple of lucky breaks for the 8th seeded team, who happens to have a goalie who is currently playing out of his mind and what happens - Boom - your done in 4 games and looking for a tee time . . . . . So, the regular season is fun, but I also believe the the True NHL Season starts in the Playoffs; because That's where the Magic really happens .... A-Jay

Cliff Pace On Mike And Mike (Espn)

And The Winner Is.....
First - Congrats to Cliff Pace for making it happen on the Biggest Stage in Bass Fishing ~ ! There are always many stories surrounding this tournament, and this one was no different. They all made this a very interesting and entertaining event to watch and follow. I found myself really looking forward to "the Next Day" of the competition. One facet of it all that I found interesting was the vast difference regarding personalities of each of the anglers that finished at or near the top. Mike Ike for instance as compared to Cliff Pace. Mike has been the topic of many a conversation here and else where most discussed his "passion" for the sport which he is very willing to display, and you know what I mean. And then there is the manner in which Cliff P goes about his business. Appearing to be in complete control at all times and never appearing to let his emotions / passion get the best of him. This demeanor works for him quite well and may have been what enabled him to cruise to win the Bassmaster Classic 2013. To me - he made it look easy. A-Jay
