I do remember 78 - EPIC ! That was right before I enlisted. I was laying low on delayed entry. Entire state was in lock down. All there was left to do was drink - so that's what every one did - then they would form fairly sizable gangs and venture to other neighborhood and fight . . .of course after two days of that all the "Packies" (Beantown word for liquor store) were closed until the roads opened back up and people could go to work . . . . . aaaaah - the good old days - thanks for helping me remember. Have fun with that - Most of my family is still down your way - I'm sure I'll hear about "all the snow". Usually takes us a couple of days or so to get that - but we also have some place to put it . . . . . A-Jay
  3. I routinely find both in, around and on some type of structure. But where lmb seem to prefer some cover as well, smb can do without it. A-Jay
  4. That is a very nice vehicle ~ Not that I have anything against Fords, but I married into a GM family and as such, there are certain "benefits" regarding sticker price that sort of steer me in a GM kind of direction. My "garage Queen" 06 GTO when purchased was in my price range. I'm scheduled and ready for upgrade and this new Vette might be it. Even though the GTO does have a Corvette engine, it would be nice to have the whole car. A-Jay
  5. WOW ~ ! Very Nice. 7 speed Tremec manual, Zero to Sixty in under 4 seconds and with an advertised Top Speed of 190 mph that's a heck of a Daily Driver. It will be a while before they'll be available in my neck of the woods but I'll test drive one when I can . . . . A-Jay

  9. I do fish quite a bit at night - it's just very cool - the whole experience. But I do not fish from the bank. I've seen a couple of the "maker of the tracks" in and around the boat ramps so . . . A-Jay

  11. Both you and Your "Boss" have chosen a path where these situations are often encountered. As a result you and he are "playing by a much different set of rules". I'm betting you are already familiar with them - It's the "anything goes" rules . . . . . . Without communication - sometimes peoples imagination runs a little wild, which when mixed with no rules - is a bad combination . . . . Put yourself in his place - the man thinks you stole from him . . . . . Go there - tell him you are and were not involved with any loss of funds and hope he believes you. You have no leverage here - give back the key. - Do not make him come looking for you - because you know he will . . . . . . . A-Jay
  12. This year I'm starting a new spring ritual - First, I take 2 MH and 2 H casting outfits along with 2 big Cranking rigs and I check all guides to ensure they are in perfect working order. Then the reels get a little TLC after which they are re-spooled with fresh 40 - 65lb braid as appropriate. Next, I go through my baits and I put aside a few of the following baits - Big Spinner Baits, Big Crank Baits, Big Rattle Baits, Big Swimbaits & Big Topwaters. Then, if not already installed, I change out split rings and treble hooks and replace them with a bigger beefier set. The next chore is to compile a modest assortment to over-sized plastic; to include 9 - 12inch jelly worms, 7inch Flukes, Rage Lobsters, 10inch Lizards & plenty of 10.5inch Yum F2 Mightee Worms. 5/0 - 8/0 Lazar Trokar EWG hooks and necessary terminal tackle complete this package. A small duffel of miscellaneous gear must be assembled which includes but is not limited to camera, sunscreen, bug spray, Boga grip, hook sharpener, pliers, fishing hat and sunglasses. Finally, all of this is packed up in accordance with FAA regulations and will accompany me this March for a week, of what will hopefully be Unforgettable Fishing on Mexico's Lake Baccarac ~ A-Jay
  13. Wish I had snatched up one or two more Lamiglas SR705R Glass Cranking Rod before they stopped making them ~ Anyone got one they want to sell ? They aren't really that good . . . . . . A-Jay

  17. This is a good rig for grass (and just about anything else). If you want to probe down into the grass use enough weight for the job. If you want to fish over / on top of the grass - lighten the load ~ A-Jay
  18. X2 ~ Hollow Belly Swimbaits when rigged side ways (flat) allow for a weedless presentation on this head as well - Thanks Rolo A-Jay

  24. This is appropriate here but might be something that is over looked by those who share the "we're all winners" mentality. "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed." ~ Booker T. Washington A-Jay
