  1. You sir, are clearly patronizing establishments that cater to a very upscale clientèle. A-Jay
  2. Is this where scrapple comes from ? A-Jay
  3. The vast majority of my freshwater fish recipes involve bite size portions of the catch of the day, which could be anything from Bluegill, crappie, walleye, or pike, some very light breading and a vat of hot grease. The one exception would be panfried trout & eggs - thats a tough one to beat right there. For me, the less I do To the fish, the better it is. A-Jay
  4. As a long time Boston Bruins fan I'll say this about the regular season; over the years there have been many , many regular seasons where the teams play has been scary good. Really Dominant. Then the playoffs roll around, a couple of bad bounces for us, a couple of lucky breaks for the 8th seeded team, who happens to have a goalie who is currently playing out of his mind and what happens - Boom - your done in 4 games and looking for a tee time . . . . . So, the regular season is fun, but I also believe the the True NHL Season starts in the Playoffs; because That's where the Magic really happens .... A-Jay

  6. First - Congrats to Cliff Pace for making it happen on the Biggest Stage in Bass Fishing ~ ! There are always many stories surrounding this tournament, and this one was no different. They all made this a very interesting and entertaining event to watch and follow. I found myself really looking forward to "the Next Day" of the competition. One facet of it all that I found interesting was the vast difference regarding personalities of each of the anglers that finished at or near the top. Mike Ike for instance as compared to Cliff Pace. Mike has been the topic of many a conversation here and else where most discussed his "passion" for the sport which he is very willing to display, and you know what I mean. And then there is the manner in which Cliff P goes about his business. Appearing to be in complete control at all times and never appearing to let his emotions / passion get the best of him. This demeanor works for him quite well and may have been what enabled him to cruise to win the Bassmaster Classic 2013. To me - he made it look easy. A-Jay
  7. Yup - and they like new Denali rods as well. A-Jay

  10. Our Pack consists of 3 Alaskan Malamutes, A Bernese Mountain dog mix and a Dutch Shepherd. My wife and I took some photos on our run this morning with 2 of the malamutes (brother and sister). These guys sure love the snow. A-Jay
  11. Never been the biggest fan of any type of snap. However, this past spring I was shown that they do have their place in the right situation. I've been trying this Spro version out - mostly on crank / jerk baits. This model is made from quality material and once you get the hang of it, goes on / off easily. Still need to do a bit more R & D but it looks promising so far. A-Jay http://www.spro.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SSPSB%2DALL
  12. Good Luck finding a hook to fit that bait - I've given up. I use them a trailers but that's about it. I've even drop shotted the small one with some success. A-JAy
  13. With the spectator boats all monitoring the BASSTrakk feed, short stroking your weights a bit might keep the masses off your area a bit. However, you have to give it to Mike Ike, neither the growing crowd nor the busted boat has keep him from "Never Giving Up" and it looks like he's at or near the top. A-Jay
  14. Cliff Pace just Blew up the leaderboard and is now "unofficially" in the Lead. A-Jay
  15. Ok well, thanks for the props but this is far from something that I would ever claim as being mine. But I'd encourage you to try it. You've got nothing to lose. You won't disturb the water, you can still go back over the area with any number of "Search baits" By choosing a jig as your choice to "Search", you could see the biggest Bite First. btw - this rig is quite effective especially from shore. 17. Here is something to consider and this represents a bit of a reversal regarding your mindset when initially fishing a spot. I have changed my approach a bit when it comes to initially fishing a promising spot. Traditionally I would use "search" type baits to find biters and then slow down with a jig to find a bigger bite. But recently I have reversed the order and fished the jig first. Instead of initially beating the water to a froth by machine gunning a spinner bait through it for 30 minutes I spend some time sneaking a jig around the best spots. It's been a good deal for me and sometimes I end up never putting the jig rod down all day. A swimjig, worked a little slower, could be the ticket for you as well. A-Jay

  19. The SK line of crankbaits might not endure the industries highest quality control, they also do not carry the higher price tag of many brands. From my experience, SK baits for the most part, run true, are fairly durable and most importantly catch fish. To call SK junk, which is essentially regarding them worthless, IMO is a little harsh.
