  3. Well, the "C'Mon Man!" doesn't necessarily have to be derogatory. The recipient may interpret the comment at his or her discretion. A-Jay
  4. I've max'ed out a couple times recently - However - I would not be totally opposed to just once a day having a "Come'on Man" comment button. A-Jay
  5. Congratulations ~ ! That's a Trophy For Sure . . . A-Jay

  10. What a relief - I heard they were eliminating Rhythmic gymnastics. Now that's a sport right there - and talk about a riveting and dramatic spectator sport - wow. I mean how could they even consider deleting a sport in which individuals or teams of 5, manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus: including clubs, some rope, a nifty hoop, a nice little red ball and even a pretty ribbon. It's just so wonderful to watch . . . . . . I'm so glad that's not on the chopping block. A-Jay
  11. I've seen footage from a rod mount - it's ok but take a little getting used to. When I first heard about the rod mount I was really confused and thought they were talking about something much different. A-Jay
  12. I'll take my wife with me any time and every time she wants to or can go. In the beginning, what worked for me was this. Instead of "taking her fishing", I was the Guide for the day. I did not fish at all. I did anything and everything I could to ensure we had a good time. And although everyone wants to catch fish, that was and never is the main objective of the trip. There's so much to it; Knowing how and where to cast, bait selection, knots, hooking, fighting and landing a fish, using the net and fish handling. Doesn't happen over night and there was no way I could "help" and fish at the same time. So I chose to take it slow and "do the leg work". By doing my best to eliminate problems early on, each trip got a bit better and it wasn't long before I was working hard to keep up. We picked out her tackle together. I started her on spinning gear. It was much easier to teach casting basics with this tackle and her proficiency with it improved quickly. Clearly there are a few limitation with spinning tackle but it's easy to ensure when together, we fish in a manner that is with in the abilities of both her and her tackle - in other words - I'm not taking out to Flip Mats with 10lb test. Turns out she is Waaaaaay more patient than I am. She'll make a single cast with a stick bait last 10 minutes or more. She Kills Me doing this - All the time - Also a swimjig has been her friend as well. She started fishing it super slow and again took me to school. It was great to see. Keep it all as positive as you can. Providing detailed descriptions was helpful: things like what a bite feels like, how to perform the hook set and why, what a bass does onced hooked and why. LIke I said there's a lot to it and no detail or explanation is too small. Include it all. And Take a lot of pictures / video if you can. I hope this helps. A-Jay
  13. Strike King makes a couple of different models - I've been using them for the last few years. They do exactly what they're suppose to and are reasonably priced. A-Jay
  14. You'll probably get a wide array of answeres on this. I find that it is considerably easier to load / launch & cast with a properly matched / balance fiberglass rod & reel when compared to graphite. So there you go. A-Jay
  15. Nice job Guys ~ And that's a Cool handle on the St Croix Dwight - Will that new stick be making the trip South of the Border in March ? and btw - I'm going to ignore your thread title . . . . . . . . A-Jay
  16. An old married couple no sooner hit the pillows when the old man passes gas and says, 'Seven Points.' His wife rolls over and says, 'What in th...e world was that?' The old man replied, 'its fart football.' A few minutes later his wife lets one go and says, 'Touchdown, tie score...' After about five minutes the old man lets another one go and says, 'Aha. I'm ahead 14 to 7.' Not to be outdone the wife rips out another one and says, 'Touchdown, tie score.' Five seconds go by and she lets out a little squeaker and says, 'Field goal, I lead 17 to 14.' Now the pressure is on for the old man. He refuses to get beaten by a woman, so he strains real hard. Since defeat is totally unacceptable, he gives it everything he's got, and accidentally poops in the bed. The wife says, 'What the hell was that?' The old man says, 'Half time, switch sides . . . . . . When I first heard this one, I thought that after the Old Man soiled the bed, his wife was going to yell . . FUMBLE . . . . . . A-Jay
  17. Paul Elias used them down on Falcon to catch that record tournament weight a few years back - I am a big fan of those worms myself. A-Jay
  18. When I was a younger man growing up in Boston, back when "18" was legal age and Aerosmith was first getting established, Steven Tyler and the boys used to do unannounced pop - ins at some of the small local pubs / bars in and around the Boston Area. If a place had some kind of a decent stage and sound system, they'd just bust in and play a few songs right before last call - The place would just blow up ! A couple of times we were in places that had less than 100 or so people left in them before the band would show up. Of course, this was well before the social media era began, so unless you were there already, by the time you heard about it - it was over. Good Times man. A-Jay

  24. I've looked but can't find if the Japanese version of this reel differs at all from the model being sold domestically. Anyone have some incite on this ? Thanks in advance A-Jay
  25. How Cool is That ~ ! Appears as though Pete has been able to build a solid mix of Old School research methods combined with some of the more technical data available today to help him become familiar with a lake he's never fished. Stakes are High at the Bassmaster Classic . . . . A-Jay
