What Breed Of Dog Do You Own?
Joe, you're a brave one and your Aussie must clearly be well trained. On roller-blades there is a little matter regarding stopping that would concern me. I bet you can get up quite a head of steam, especially on an extended decline. The booties are a good deal for many reasons, especially if there is any salt on the road. The dogs want to lick it off and that causes all kinds of problems. A-Jay A-Jay

Just Had To Buy This
Cutting off the stock trebles and adding split rings is certainly an option. I did not go that way. I unscrewed each side hook hanger and carefully opened it up with a pair of fine needle nose pliers. Then simply slid off the old hooks and replaced them with the new ones. A slight pinch of the pliers again and the hanger is closed and the hook secure. Then re-mount the hardware. I did go with the Owner Stingers. A-Jay

New Techniques
Cool - I know I'm really looking forward to it as well. I'll admit, it will be hard to pass up on the shallow bite that comes each spring in lieu of staying out on the deeper pre-spawn and post-spawn staging areas. But it will get dramatically easier to do if I hang a couple of the kind of bass I'm hoping to. A-Jay

Mixing Anchors?
When anchoring in any current or wind / waves you MUST ALWAYS anchor off your BOW - you may capsize if you anchor any other way. Two anchors are fine as long as the bow of your vessel is facing any wind, waves and/or current. A-Jay

Rick Clunn Talks Being In "the Zone" Intuition And More
The Zen Master certainly has an intriguing view point on the sport. I'll admit even though I am a RC fan and even when he was winning, some of that stuff is a little out there. It's like that NFL commercial referencing superstition - it's only weird when it doesn't work. A-Jay

Thoughts On The Major League Fishing Format?
I am a fan as well. Looking forward to the next event. It's all about the coverage; tournament official and camera on every boat. The Classic pales in comparison and should consider adopting a similar format. Simply shrink the field to a manageable number of anglers. I understand the mindset of having competitors from various bass entities and the importance of having a high number of angling participants contributing to the increase in Sponsor Dollars. The NFL Super Bowl only has 2 teams playing and their sponsors appear to do OK. The past and current Classic format causes a very watered down spectator event simply because of shear number of anglers participating. Back before the social media explosion, this format worked fine. Now, It's a Dinosaur and I fear it will suffer the same fate if changes are not made soon. A-Jay

Pics Of The New Rig
The break-in procedures although necessary do seem a little arduous at best. The fuel used to complete it is nothing to sneeze at either. I think a good way to encourage the consumer to complete the break-in properly, as well as being a nice promotional selling point, would be to include a gas card with sufficient funds to pay for the breaking-in as part of the Dealer Prep package. Kvd Is Gonna Be At Our Bps Tomorrow. How Crazy Will It Be?
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting KVD at a sports show in Philly I think it was early or mid-90's. He had won AOY the year before. He was giving presentations on spinnerbaits at the Hawg Trough. There were maybe 200 people attending. Afterwords he answered questions. I was impressed at his patience and over all good attitude and willingness to make sure he answered what people were asking. After his deal, the crowd dispersed and I was left standing there with him. He was eating his lunch waiting for his next show. So for like 90 minutes I was shooting the breeze with what has turned out to be a pretty famous guy. What I took away from it was that the man is genuine and I've been a fan ever since - really a nice guy. Oh and he can bass fish a little too. A-Jay

What Did You Ingest That Wasn't What You Thought It Was?
Short version - While in Junior high - the first year we started switching classrooms each period, 9th grade I think. I started finding my lunch, which was kept in my desk, most eaten. I brought it to the attention of the teachers who for whatever reason thought it was funny. I didn't see it quite that way and needed to find a way to catch the perpetrator, stop the thievery and maybe get a little pay back all at the same time. It seemed like who ever this was really liked the Italian cold cut sandwiches quite a bit as they were always completely eaten. So I made up a special one - it was loaded with hot peppers (at the time I didn't realize just how hot as I didn't eat them but apparently, they were pretty hot). The next day, some unfortunate sap was the recipient of an ambulance ride from school to the emergency room. Oh it was quite a scene. Never really came back on me as Mr Hungry did give up the fact that he had eaten someone Else's food. Either way Operation Fry Your Face Off was a big success. A-Jay

Ups Vs. Fedex
Both my wife and I are avid on line shoppers (abusers) - so USPS, UPS and FedEx are routine visitors to our residence. EVERY time I'm home when anyone delivers, I make it a point to go out, introduce myself, get the individuals name, shake their hand, I introduce them to all my dogs (they can hear them anyway) and thank them for whatever. It doesn't matter. I know them all by name, and they know mine, they all leave treats for the dogs. Granted I live in a place where each driver has a the same route and this makes it easier to keep track but these people are just doing their job. If something is smashed during shipping, there is nothing the driver can do about it. But I seriously doubt that any of the people delivering to my home would hook me up like the freaks in the videos posted above. And I feel that way because I make an effort not to provide them with a reason to do so. It's actually pretty easy to treat people the same way you want to be treated. A-Jay
