  3. Thank you. Man - that's just so good. And as gorgeous as that fish is - I'm grateful that you chose this particular photo as the "Day" itself is one I'll be happy to be out in again - as soon as possible. You're the man Dwight. A-Jay
  4. Northstar makes a nice bait. (and is a BR Sponsor) A white on white bait that is a bit heavier and can be burner just under the surface is a very consistent producer for me, especially in clear water. A-Jay http://www.northstar...249/7791821.htm
  5. I knew that - I'm anxious to try them out. A-Jay

  21. The current odds have the Pats favored by 3.5 and the over/under is 55 points. I'm a Pats fan and I find it hard to believe that the Pats are favored at all. After that squeak job in Foxboro Sunday they should be even at best. I hope New England can pull it out but in my heart (and if I had to put $$ on it) I think the NY Football Giants will win. I will however, break out a Red Solo Cup & proceed to party, if the Pats somehow pull it off. A-Jay
  22. A quick search will get you loads of information on this that comes with many differences of opinions. Here's a short version of mine ~ I do like braid and use it where ever I can. I also like using a leader so I'm not cutting back on the braid as I retie. I rarely use a fluorocarbon leader, especially when the hook set is predictable hard and on a short cast, like jigs and plastics in cover. I'm sure it's my fault but I pop off too many times. I switched to mono and virtually eliminated this. I also use mono for a leader whenever there are treble hooks involved. A soft rod and drag with braid and mono works for me. Although mono floats the braid in thin and cuts the water so I'm going to say they cancel out. (I realize many will disagree) I use all braid for the thickest cover and frog fishing. I apply a fly fishing line dressing to the last 10-20 feet of braid when casting a frog, which helps keep the braid from sinking too much. A-Jay
  23. Been a big fan of the U40 cork sealant for a while now. Easy to apply, drys overnight and helps the cork maintain a decent level of Cork-ness - is that actually a word ? A-Jay A-Jay
