  2. The entire world is all about making money.Common business practice. We live and die trying to make money. It's not gonna get better, but much worst. The world is only going to get greedier. Sorry, but I don't fall into that category. It may be the way you live, but not me. Those who live for the almighty buck are inevitably disappointed. As far as the world getting greedier, I don't think so. It's not getting any more or less greedy. It is the same. The only difference is that instant, worldwide communication only makes it more evident. I was taught a different code of ethics by my parents, thank goodness. I am in your corner FR. Your mind set originates from the generations of Americans that built the fabric of this country. I believe that it may now be the minority which is frankly sad. I do enjoy watching - But it's a GAME. If it goes - oh well, it's a game. A-Jay

  6. Last 2 weeks have been crazy and the insanity continues. 3 Alaskan Malamute puppies between 10-12 weeks have doubled our pack size to six northern breeds. We already had 1 male Mal and 2 Siberian Huskies (both were rescued) ~ What a Blast ! Fenway and Cookie (females) & Tucker (male) have been and will continue to be a handful. Before they arrived I remodeled the downstairs bedroom into a puppy pen. It's really working out well. Now if we could just get them to sleep through the night and stop beating the crap out of each other ! A-Jay Fenway Cookie Tucker
  7. What was the biggest SMB you've landed and what did it hit ? A-Jay
  8. Way to go Joe ~ that's an instant classic ~ As for this topic = Loss of a Man Card A-Jay
  9. My presentation of jigs to smb is about 80% swim jigs from 1/4 - 1/2 oz and 20% football from 1/4 - 3/4 oz. Smallies caught flipping / pitching are usually around docks, lay downs, and deeper weed/grass lines and represent a small percentage. A-Jay

  12. They are sold exclusively through BPS. Not sure how long this contract exists, but it was enough to get me to place a BPS order Me too ~ already received 3 but the remaining baits (several) are back ordered 30 days . . . . A-Jay
  13. x2 I switched last year and I would definitely agree there is a noticeable difference when making contact with Anything. The first time out, I set a new record low on hook up to strike ratio. Finally realized I was feeling lily pad stems on the bottom and not fish. I will not go back to lead and am anxiously waiting someone to make flipping and casting jig heads from tungsten as well. 14. Mine is "No Quarter" ~ Coincidentally, the lyrics are fairly appropriate considering the current weather across the country. 8-) A-Jay "No Quarter" Close the door, put out the light. You know they won't be home tonight. The snow falls hard and don't you know? The winds of Thor are blowing cold. They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through. They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. Walking side by side with death, The devil mocks their every step The snow drives back the foot that's slow, The dogs of doom are howling more They carry news that must get through, To build a dream for me and you They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. They ask no quarter. The pain, the pain without quarter. They ask no quarter. The dogs of doom are howling more!
  15. There are two areas in particular for me ~ 1. Boat positioning -- I think I have a tendency to get up on top of fish too often. When I feel like I'm set up right my confidence goes up. 2. Night fishing -- There is a lot that goes with this one. Just have to get out there more nights and make it happen. A-Jay
  16. I'm in too. State records for lmb/smb up here are 11-15 / 9-4 respectively. This should be fun. Thanks for setting this up FishinDaddy. A-Jay

  20. The man is a beast, no doubt about it. His appearance like anything, is a matter of taste. Everyone knows this is a more than a life style. It is his life, for now anyway. I can respect anyone that displays the drive, desire, commitment and dedication required to take any of life's adventures to this level. But the REAL challenge is all the FOOD required to build and maintain All That Muscle Mass. To answer your questions Chris, yes. A-Jay
  21. True or not true- it's history. And truth in history varies and depends on who is telling it. A-Jay
  22. It was necessary to keep a good supply of cannon balls near the cannon on old war ships. But how to prevent them from rolling about the deck was the problem. The storage method devised was to stack them as a square based pyramid, with one ball on top, resting on four, resting on nine, which rested on sixteen. Thus, a supply of 30 cannon balls could be stacked in a small area right next to the cannon. There was only one problem -- how to prevent the bottom layer from sliding/rolling from under the others. The solution was a metal plate with 16 round indentations, called, for reasons unknown, a Monkey. But if this plate were made of iron, the iron balls would quickly rust to it. The solution to the rusting problem was to make them of brass - hence, Brass Monkeys. Few landlubbers realize that brass contracts much more and much faster than iron when chilled. Consequently, when the temperature dropped too far, the brass indentations would shrink so much that the iron cannon balls would come right off the monkey. Thus, it was quite literally, cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. And all this time, people thought that was just a vulgar expression ~ A-Jay
  23. I like it ! A-Jay
