  1. Later this Summer and into Fall the Strike King Sexy Ghost color has proven itself a welcome addition to my ever growing collection of baits. The clearer the water the better. A-Jay
  2. That's wild ! Down in the comments of the video, someone wanted to know if he "stuck the landing" . . . . A-Jay

ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample? WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question? That right there is Funny ! A-Jay
  4. WTG ~ Nice "Urban" Smallie ! Looks like a shot from "City Limits". A-Jay
  5. That was Excellent. And although it's fun to see many fish caught, I enjoyed seeing and listening to DB as he fish/discussed different baits and techniques during less than favorable conditions. Some of us, can remember when you could only get that kind of info from a fellow angler who was in the boat with you. Now it's just a click away. It's fun to remember the old days, but this is so much better. A-Jay
  6. Nice fish Dwight. You look a little bummed out ~ couldn't be the fish . . . . Must be because you had to return to the dock while fish like that were biting. Still, a good call. A-Jay
  7. I went with Craws - looking forward to the final results. A-Jay
  8. I am slowly buying into this philosophy. btw - I sort of knew you were going to say something like that. A-Jay
  9. I agree with you on all points. The "small fish syndrome" is fairly wide spread in area also. Perhaps it's a by product of the minimum size regulations that are currently in place here rather than a slot size limit rule. As for keeping smaller fish to help the fishery, I would do it if the regulations would allow; I certainly catch a good number of dinks each trip. As I would not be eating the fish, keeping them would be tough at first. The "conditioning" you talked about has a good grip on many of us. A-Jay
  10. For the several years I was stationed in NJ, Cape May and A/C, I was a striped Bass fishing addict to put it mildly. This site (link below) has a ton of current and local info that will help you. Good Luck A-Jay http://www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/forumdisplay.php?f=177
  11. KVD specifically worked with Mustad and designed this hook for His Strike King crankbaits including the Red Eye Shad. I have not used them yet but I am going to. Here is the link and a recent thread on this subject. Also I think it's size 2 or 4 A-Jay http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Mustad_KVD_Elite_Series_Triple_Grip_Hook/descpage-MKVDEST.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1286204900/9#9
  12. Congratulations to your wife and nice job to you ~ the husband / Pike Guide. A-Jay
  13. Yup ! Today is the first Overcast day we've had in a couple of weeks. I'm not complaining because it won't be long before the lakes here are in the hard water period. But I am heading out and hoping to do some Damage . . . . Update: Damage done ? ~ not so much. A-Jay
  14. I love seeing posts like this ! Documented Results = Credibility. Thank you A-Jay
  15. I hate that. Perhaps dropping down in line size might do it. A-Jay
  16. Nice fish Dwight - I knew it was only a matter of time before they came up and you got on them. A-Jay

Nice Fish. You did something different and it paid off. A-Jay
  18. Maybe we should just trade units! ;D You Sir, are a Funny Man. I did lol on that one. A-Jay
  19. WRB - You're right . . . . saving "some" is a fairly pain staking process and clearing them all is one button. But it's a Long winter in the North Woods so I'll mark the keepers and break out the manual. A-Jay
  20. Both - I've been learning many new lakes, like Glenn talked about, so I've marked allot of points of interest; ie fish catches, points, ledges, drop off, grass/weed lines and deep wood etc. I do quite a bit of night fishing when the weather allows and the wps help to get on deep structure. There are just too many wps on each water way now, it's cluttered. I've got to clean house . . . . . Thanks for the support A-Jay
  21. Thanks - I bet there will be occasions when I wished I had kept them, but I'm leaning heavily toward "delete All". A-Jay
  22. For those who use them, and with the exception of Hazards to navigation, has anyone purposely deleted fishing waypoints ? At the end of this season, I'm considering dumping the 989 wps I've accumulated over the past 3 years. I'm thinking this will force me to "start fresh" next year. Hopefully make me fish the moment, if you will, instead of "fishing memories". Am I nuts ? A-Jay
  23. Guess I'll find out because this is what I usually replace most stock hooks with. Also they are the only replacement I can get locally. I'll let you know. I did forget to mention, I do have some trouble with the trebles tangling together especially if I go up one size. Sometimes a reduction in split ring size can help but not always. So a shorter treble sounds like a good idea. A-Jay
  24. Thanks - that's some high praise. I'm going to snag a few packs and make the switch. A-Jay
  25. What's the verdict on these as compared to other top quality brand crankbait replacements ? Are they worth the extra $$ ? A-Jay
