Night Bassing ~ A-Jay's Version
If I can catch them during the day – I can catch them at night. It just depends on if I want to be out there. Very early & very late in the season are clearly less comfortable but I’ve had some very successful nights in both April & October. These results will vary depending on one’s local & legal fishing season. Cooler water may mean the bass eat less often so that might come into play when working an area for bites. A-Jay

Working with an Akita ~
Perhaps but I was thinking more about the size. 55-60 is often a bit easier to manage than 100-130. We work Very Closely with the animal shelter director on these deals and if there was anything 'off' with this or any of the animals we work with, and I'm talking purely as 'pets', the process (and the end game) would reflect that. We'd never knowingly insert a ticking time bomb into a home. No up side. A-Jay

Working with an Akita ~
Thanks - I wish we could but now's not the right time. Saving grace may be that Aries is very likely NOT 100 % Akita - Seems like a Husky in an Akita suit. A-Jay

This should help you out @Catt Helps if you have your brother's service number which may or might not be the same as his social security number - but it is NOT NEEDED. Either way this information will be on his DD214 form if you have it. They will send you a complete set of all of your brothers, ribbons, medals & badges. No charge Here's the link but it's better if you call them. National Personnel Records Center https://www.archives.gov/veterans 314-801-0800 Again our condolences A-Jay

Aries Day 6 ~

Working with an Akita ~
Aries Log ~ Day 6 Calling this one Independence Day. Aries is Really coming out of his shell and sharing much more of himself with us now. Such a fun dog; no doubt Ruff & Tumble. But Lynn & I totally love that ! Got some video today that's still in edit. However the preliminary/raw viewing seems to indicate we probably have everything we need to get this special guy a forever home. Expect to 'share' Aries full story on social Media on Monday. Shelter's closed Sunday, so we'll have to wait an extra day to put what we hope could be the finishing touches on his 'training'; at least for us and at this stage. btw, the more we work with Aries, the more he seems like a Siberian Husky in an Akita suit. Might also explain his size, or lack there of. Either way, very cool dog. More to follow A-Jay

That listing indicates that the engine hours are at 19. If that's the original motor and that number is accurate, buy it now. Good Luck A-Jay

not entirely sure why I participate in forums.
I my honest & humble option, this particular forum checks more boxes for the membership than most are willing to admit or are perhaps even aware of; including me. Especially Now. A decent indicator of the above may occur during those rare occasions when the site is 'down for mainainance'. How many times (per hour) do you check to see if it's back up ? And how much 'relief' do you feel when it does ? https://youtu.be/GC5E8ie2pdM?t=62 A-Jay

Working to Stay Lean ~
Yes ~ It was sort of a tongue & cheek comment. I do plan on leaning out quite a bit but that happens every year so . . . . . Just hate that my head & face start to look like Skeletor a month before my core. A-Jay

Winter 2022-23
Finally getting into what for this neck of the woods is a normal December winter weather pattern. 8 out the next 10 days include snow. Some days more, some days less. But the air temps are such that whatever we get, will most likely be around for a while. Living in northern Michigan and "we like it that way." #tracybird A-Jay

Favorite Landing
Think I've mentioned this before, but my favorite launch ramps are hard to find, hard to launch a full rig from and usually have no docks. Bet you can imagine why that would be the case. Looks a lot like this . . . . https://youtu.be/Uz-Ys3-AeJc?t=70 Fish Hard A-Jay
