Thanks ~ Breed 'reputation' may be why he's been at the shelter since September and precisely why we've chosen to work with him. While each animal is different, I've already done a preliminary meet & greet, and Aries is a totally love bug. High expectations going in. A-Jay
  3. That happened to me several years ago - truck locked itself ? It was 3 AM on the way to the lake and I was getting gas and not in the middle of the everglades. Called 1-800 onstar from the Quik mart and they unlocked it from 'space'. Took 2 minutes and I was on my way. Key fob lives in my pocket now. A-Jay
  4. Over the years I can openly admit that when it comes to 'baits' & even 'techniques', I've gotten as much or more, than I've shared. And while much of what I offer here can be fairly specific to this end of the country, some of it can probably apply to different deals as well. So as for 'secret' bait's, I don't really have any, but there are a few deals that, let's say may not be that well advertised. Most all of that centers around specific locations. Some of my more recent shares look like this . . . https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/183215-most-productive-baits-~-a-seasonal-review/ https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/209845-2018-~-my-most-productive-baits-by-season/ https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/221344-my-2019-list-of-productive-baits-~/ https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/233905-my-most-productive-baits-~-2020-edition/ https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/243659-my-most-productive-baits-~-2021-edition/ A-Jay

It's Official ~ Finn went to what we're all hoping is his new forever home today. Routinely called a 'two week trial', but if all goes well that deal will become permanent. Ya Finn. Also we already have our next 'shelter project' picked out. Got the OK to start working with Aries; a 4 year old male Akita. Next week should be fun. More to follow . . . A-Jay
  6. @LrgmouthShad so happy to hear you're trending in a positive direction. As for never stopping, figure several workouts a week for 2,250 weeks give or take. Stopping doesn't seem like an option. Stay Strong A-Jay
  7. A good way for me to help get in the right frame of mind when looking to work a bottom contact bait slow, is to image after that cast and once the bait gets to the bottom, I am trying hard to sneak the bait back to the boat, without being detected by a bass. While hardly possible, it still surprises me when she slurps it up. A-Jay
  8. Total Body 1 this morning. Performed two working sets of 7 movements. Showing both of them in this one. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  10. @Randy Price sorry to hear you're having a tough time. Talking to a professional is probably a good Idea. Clearly I'm not one of those so I don't feel right about offering advice regarding another man's marriage. I'll just offer my support and hope you both can find happiness. A-Jay
  11. X2 I might know a guy who secures a fat little knot with braid right on the line tie to keep the mono connection knot 'in place'.
  12. While each rod warranty situation is different, the few times I've had dealings with St Croix, the interactions have always been friendly, professional and super easy. They have met or exceeded my 'customer satisfaction' level every time. You will not need to ship the damage rod intacted; meaning whole & long. Call them and will probably tell you to cut it up but to leave the serial number legible. Weird and always a bummer taking a hack saw to a previously favorite rod. Call them A-Jay I was never offered this option. I like it better A-Jay
  13. @Darth-Baiter Very sorry to hear this. Sometimes it just happens quick. Lost a few like that #blinkofaneye Still wicked sad. Our condolences to you & your brother. A-Jay

Past two days have been productive. Finn seems more willing to trust us a little more each time we visit. He's a tug of war fan to no ones surprise. Social medias doing it's thing and we're starting to get 'inquires' regarding Finn. A-Jay
  15. Little ones too if I'm careless. But that's not my style. A-Jay
  16. There's a lot of water here to choose from. Proximity plays a role as does big fish potential. After that, there's a few 'factors' that determine where & when I fish a certain body of water. Gobies are good. Lakes that are 'hard to get to' or have a tricky boat launching deal; like no dock, are a favorite. Places that are close to a major highway exit are usually avoided. So off the beaten path is good and sort of easy to find up here. Not all the roads are paved and many 'bass boat' guys seem to avoid long dirt & gravel access roads. I seek them out. A-Jay
  17. I use dots & strips. Both work well. A-Jay
  18. Trade that trolling motor in for an anchor and anchor line. At some point, you'll slow down. Also, fish light jigs. Maintaining bottom contact with a 3/16 oz hair jig is a whole different deal. Slow is The Only way to get bites. A-Jay
  19. Total Body 3 this morning. Performed two mostly strict working sets of 7 movements. Showing both of them in this one. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  21. That's going to leave a mark . . . ? A-Jay
  22. "how a pro would do if they could fish my honey holes." I'd have to imagine pretty darn good. But they'd have to find it first . . . . #menderchuckrules A-Jay
  23. No doubt ~ But as a veteran resistance trainer, there's a fine line between adequate rest and waking up totally stiff. Makes that next pre-workout warm up even more important. ? A-Jay
