Coping with chronic heart ache ~
Thank you very much - seems this is one of those 'stories' that regardless of how or when it ends, will most likely suck pretty bad. I wish it was different but that's the reality of this insidious deal. A-Jay

Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass ~ Rumbling Across Lake Menderchuck
It's a basically a hull design that has proven itself on big water for several years. Lund uses it in a few of different boat lines. A-Jay

Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass ~ Rumbling Across Lake Menderchuck
Thanks ~ As mentioned above the Pro-V Bass is an IPS2 riveted hull. As for allowing for 'hull flex' - my rig gets me there & back in anything I ask it to safely. May all come down to how that happens. A-Jay

Lake Charlevoix October 1st Tournament
You're welcome. Hard to say and almost always depends on where the baits at. I won't even fish an area if I'm not getting perch following my baits. No bait, there's no reason for the smallies to be there. Also, insiders tip, check she docks you launch from as well as any docks near points. You're looking for crayfish parts of top of them left behind by birds eating them. Could clue you in on where to fish and what to do when you get there. #jigs Boom. A-Jay

Lake Charlevoix October 1st Tournament
I have fished Lake Charlevoix, just not this season. It's pretty big, and can get a little nasty on a hard NW & SE blow. Weather can be anything, but I'd expect 30's or 40's in the early morning & 50's and if you're lucky 60's during the day. Any wind will make it feel much colder. I'm never fishing for a limit of keepers so no help there. That time frame for me is all about ONE Thing - POINTS. Points early, Point mid day, and points in the afternoon. The locals will know and will be on the best ones. I'd get on one and camp on it all day. If it's calm enough and the water temps are above 50, could be early morning topwater bite. Otherwise just about everything I'd throw is RIGHT on the bottom and moving. Tube Swimbait on a jighead (3.8 / 4.3 Keitech AYU). Rage Bug on a swing head Mid-deep running crank (which can be a few feet off the bottom and still get bites). A Bladebait or a rattlebait on the bottom. If the points get covered up, look for some grass in 6-10 ft and stroll a spinnerbait, a vibrating jig or a flat sided crank bait over it. A jerkbait is always an option as well. Hope that helps Good Luck A-Jay

Definitely Other Species ~
Had a sea gull dive bomb my topwater this morning. The way this weeks been going, it's pretty much par for the course. Took a minute to free it but the bird and I were both no worse for wear. Used to happen all the time in the surf. A-Jay

have you even had a package stolen from your front porch?
No ~ but it's not hard to imagine that somehow there would be several dog bites involved. Ripping flesh, crushing bone, torn ligaments & tendons. Just doesn't seem worth it. A-Jay

Coping with chronic heart ache ~
So here’s the latest update on my wife’s heath. Still very serious - cardiac & super low BP concerns. So low that our at home PB cuff has been unable read it. Passing out is a real problem. Been going a few rounds with the VA trying to get an authorization for a specific prescribed cardiac Med that is expected to help and is apparently quite costly. (Not to us) VA required Lynn’s DR’s to jump through quite a few hoops before authorizing (insert paying for) it. Nothing bad to say about the VA, they have been a Huge help in all of this, just that this deal seemed to need some extra TLC and took what seemed like forever. Lynn’s been on the new meds for a few days. So far so good as it seems to be helping. If this didn’t happen, there is a good chance she’d already be in hospice or at the very least long term hospitalized. She's 49. Seems we may avoid that, at least for now. We both could not possibly thank you all enough for the kind words & encouragement and I’m pretty sure we’ll need all we can get moving forward. She has her regularly scheduled Chemo for the 14th & again on the 28th of this month. Not sure how that’s going to go. Either way, at this point, I’m feeling like a drunken goat doing yoga in a dumpster fire riding on a train going right off the rails. Serenity now . . . . . A-Jay
