  1. I sure did. And how about those "Greenheads" up that way ? Those are some sneaky mothers. Buzz around your ankles at the beach, then while you're looking down . . . BAM ~ Right in the back of the the neck. I've been run right off the Merrimac River while stripah fishing more than once. A-Jay
  2. Some years the Horse Flies (or Deer Flies) are wicked bad. This years hasn't been too bad. Either way these things get pretty big compared to a common house fly. And the 'bite' is no joke. Seems they rip a chunk of skin right off the bone. Apparently feeding on the blood. My dogs & I are not fans. A-Jay
  3. I have that stick as well. Both are the real deal IMO. A-Jay
  4. So it's the St Croix Legend Tournament Bass POWER GLASS CRANKER / LBTC74MHM (iACT) – 7’4”, medium-heavy power, moderate action. Such a unique blank. Unlike anything I've ever fished before. Is it the new Holy Grail of Crank Bait Rods ? Maybe . . . . . https://stcroixrods.com/collections/freshwater/products/legend-tournament-bass-2022-new-models A-Jay
  5. Thanks Mike ~ Pretty sure that's your pic in my post ~ A-Jay
  6. Of course it does. Or maybe just use smaller stickers A-Jay
  7. Good One ~ Seriously tough, I started doing this stickers under the lids deal a while ago. Pretty much out of space at this point . . . A-Jay
  8. I'm saving them up. Got quite a collection so far. Hoping to gather enough to shingle my roof ! That way I'll be able spot my place easier on Google Earth . . . . . A-Jay
  9. I have 3 'main' colors, mostly to feed to brown bass feeding on crayfish. Phantom Brown, Phantom Green & Red Crawfish. They all get bites for me. The 'other' patterns are just to keep them & me honest. Not sure what that means exactly but I think it's what all the cool kids say . . . . . A-Jay
  10. The Silly Sale Price meant Re-Stock ~ The Old Skeet Reese is just for show . . . A-Jay
  11. Yes, Escapses are nice sticks. I do/did use travel rod and with a very high level of success. Made my own travel rod tube. Took them as carry on, put them in the over head or the flight attendant would take it and "hold on to it" for me. Either way my gear always made it intact, something that was not a given any other way. Finally since we are frequent lodge guests, they let us leave our gear at the lodge, locked up. And have it ready for us when we arrive. Super convenient. A-Jay
  12. I do. Used it exactly one time. Loaded it up and took it to Mexico. 2013 I think. Flew commercial airlines here and in Mexico. Works fine but logistically it was a Total nightmare. Baggage handlers were freaking out. Almost wouldn't put it on the first flight. Said it was too big. Cost way too much, oversize fee. Customs was worse. You can have it, and I'll even pay half the shipping. A-Jay
  13. I launch & recover a boat & a canoe, both are trailered. The canoe does take longer to recover as most of the gear needs to come out of it first. However I do not turn it into a race. If there are humans behind me that are getting impatient, they should have gotten to the ramp earlier. And I have no problem telling them that. Take a breath man. A-Jay
  14. I follow that guy ~ And those jumps are IN-SANE !!!!!!!! Wow. A-Jay
  15. While I can agree with some of that, especially in habitats that get a higher than average level of fishing pressure. Not exactly sure what the average of that might be. I think northern bass have a different sort of growth rate that's based on a shorter 'growing season'. However, I am fortunate in that even though the waters I fish get busy in the peak of 'summer', during the cooler early & late season, I feel like I'm in the less than average space. (Like most anywhere, easy to catch nest guarders take a beating though). So when the big girls are shallow and at their most venerable, It's just me, myself & I. A-Jay
  16. Unless the habitat can not support what's living there and the adult fish are 'stunted', immature bass are the future of that fishery. I'm not sore lipping them now. I have no problem waiting for them to become grandmothers a few times. A-Jay
  17. Fantastic Reply ! Jock strap and a Sailor's Cap ? A-Jay
  18. LOL ~ Initially I did the same. Then somehow my filter kicked in. I haven't seen it for while. A-Jay
  19. Quick, edit that one to include the gender of your choice, before someone does it for you . . . . A-Jay

I use a 4/0 Gamakatsu or Owner EWG Rig them so the the hooks point is inserted into the tail and comes out the bottom (bottom Pic) and then penetrates the bottom in the slot (bottom pic again) and comes out the top (top pic) Usually right behind the claws, if I'm using the bait whole. Hope that makes sense. A-Jay
  21. Total Body 3 this morning. Two working sets got it done. The Partial Dead lifts were particularly intense. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  22. May be a bit of a surprise ~ The Quantum EXO PT made its debut in retail locations late in the Fall of 2011. I started my collection a year or two later which includes 100 & 200 sizes. Some of these were scored for a song on E-Bay. Stock handles were 'EVA Foam'. Didn't care for it. Went with all new HawgTechs Better. All 9 are still making it happen for me. A-Jay
  23. That's a tough one. Perhaps it's the fact that you're 'stressed', that's affecting your motivation. Not that you don't want to go fishing. Getting out on the water, your happy place, might be just what the doctor ordered. Hope it works out for you. #addressthestress A-Jay
  24. https://showspan.com/UFD/ I went to this one in early 2016 just to see my rig before I ordered it. It's a good 3.5 hours south of me so I actually got a hotel room. Had two full days there, most of which was spent crawling in & around a couple of Pro-V Bass boats. Also got to see and talk to Mark Zona & KVD a couple of times each. Of course Zona hit me with "Dude, weren't you yesterday ?" One & only time I'll probably ever go. Good Show with TONS to see and Buy. I left with one thing only. A Plan. A-Jay
  25. An ounce of prevention ~ A-Jay
