  1. I'm going to say that regardless of what type of bait I'm throwing and where it may run or be in the water column, the fish I'm targeting are almost always relating to 'the bottom' (insert structure) in some way. Cover can & does offer the bass security & feeding opportunities, but I am of the belief that it's the structure that puts them there in the first place. Suspend bass holding in 20 ft let's say over 50 ft, might as well be on Mars. Because I'm not catching them. A-Jay
  2. How did you catch your HUGE smallmouth ? Define Huge . . . . A-Jay

  4. Awesome ! I knew what this was going to be even before I opened it. And I couldn't agree with you more but I wouldn’t have it any other way. A-Jay
  5. Really Nice ~ You are killing it. Congrats A-Jay
  6. Thanks again ~ And without sounding like a braggard, I agree with you about the completely Freakish shape of some of those Lake Menderchuck Tanks. I'm always mentioning 'the frame', they are just so 'tall and thick'. Almost seems like a different species. The only 'constant' about that deal is the best examples of those fish ALL come from lakes that have goby and are connect by a couple of different river systems. btw - I really like making, sharing and watching back those videos. 8. I enjoyed reading your account of that special trip here @roadwarrior and I certainly appreciate the vote of confidence. While I've been able to grind out some decent success recently, I may have a ways to go to even get into that conversation. With a mind boggling number of documented trophy brown bass to his credit, in my mind, @Dwight Hottle has been wearing that crown for a while. Probably always will. A-Jay
  9. Thanks ~ Lynn routinely runs a GoPro while playing with the dogs. Never know what you'll record. This Pic was captured from the video. Tank just Loves to Jump. #tankslife A-Jay
  10. Nah ~ There's some canine to human contact made, but it's not violent in any way. Anytime Tank gets to 'Jump' he's happy. Once I realized he was 'trying' this, I went with it and made it into a game. Now it's pretty much a thing. My malamutes pups used to snag my winter gloves and take off with them. This is like that, just a bit more impressive. #tanklife A-Jay
  11. Been using them effectively past few seasons. They are IMO, and for my deal, better than carpet. I'm a satisfied customer. More info in the below video. @MdpBassen your Ranger 519vx hull weighs 100 lb more than my Pro-V Bass and holds 12 more gallons of gas. A-Jay
  12. Past few weeks, Tank has just about perfected the blind side hat steal. Seems he plans his shot when we least expect it. He's not exactly subtle and good luck getting it back. My wife Lynn was his latest victim. #tankslife A-Jay

  15. What a Beast ~ That'll get your attention. Congrats A-Jay
  16. @Crankin4Bass Good Question ~ And one I sort of anticipated. Watch the attached video. May answer some of your questions. A-Jay
  17. I like the Tranx 300 quite a bit. And the Calcutta 300D is no slouch either. A-Jay
  18. Bummer you lost that one. But I'm betting you've tied some Great knots ever since. A-Jay
  19. Interesting topic @Mobasser ~ Had to make myself 'think' about this one a bit. I'm not a bit 'regret' type of man. Decided some time ago that it didn't help me moving forward and could be the source of a lot of wasted time (If I let it) While I've had my share of total crash & burns in my fishing I try to look back at those times in a positive rather than negative way knowing that's what made me who I am today. And "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been." Finally, something I could never regret and am actually immensely grateful for, Is this forum. #14years A-Jay

  21. "Best" is a relative term in my eyes. But I'm better at this than say, pulling Taffy. A-Jay
  22. While I can certainly respect your keen eye for quality blanks, when I was 'shopping' for the right stick, I was not doing it at that type of price point. I eventually landed on a Quantum KVD composite crankbait rod. No longer in production by Quantum but Lews makes what is essentially the same stick. Been there ever since. This stick has accounted for more trophy brown bass for me than perhaps all my other sticks combined . . . The bass don't know what it costs.
