  1. Congrats and good luck A-Jay
  2. I've been using rock tamers. They work as advertised. Easy to install and customizable to your rig. https://www.cruiserframes.com/rocktamers.asp A-Jay
  3. Between the bum leg (which is much better) and some other stuff, I'm working my way out of the funk that I was in slowly but surely. It's a good feeling. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  4. Hello Anthony and Welcome to Bass Resource A-Jay
  5. Thank you. I fish from a 15 ft Old Town Square Back Canoe It's hard to effectively present baits if you're not 'set up' in a way that can help you. If you're not doing the following - I'd highly recommend that you do. First ADD weight to the very bow of your rig - enough so that when you're fishing from the stern, your rig is level. I use a Group 31 Battery up there. It will really help keep your rig in the water and not blowing all over the place in the wind. Second, FISH FROM THE BACK OF THE BOAT and travel / move that way as you fish. In other words - stern first. Takes some getting used to but you will have SO Much more control of your rig. You'll need to use your Trolling motor in Reverse. Still go forward to move from spot to spot but fish off the stern. As for adding Big boat type electronics to your rig, IMO, it will not help you catch more or bigger fish. Save your $$ and instead set up & learn how to control your rig yourself. A man can & will always be able to out perform a machine in conditions that change as fast as they do on the water. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Good Luck. A-Jay BTW @AJ Hauser You're going to need at least one anchor. I use a 10 lb mushroom. https://youtu.be/02fPoZHOri8?t=1151 A-Jay
  6. That was job security for me for just shy of 3 decades. A-Jay
  7. Post a pic of your rig . . . A-Jay
  8. Being honest & self-aware is frightening & hard, but it's real. Can help keep a man present & grounded. #embracingyourcurrentreality A-Jay
  9. Thanks again - just read that my current DualPro PS quad is compatible. so that's good to know. A-Jay
  10. Thanks - Did you pick up an on board charger as well ? A-Jay
  11. Nice. If I may ask, what did you get ? A-Jay
  12. Yes, air temp. Water temperatures locally are mid 50's mostly. A-Jay
  13. I had a dink fest. Lots of trophies in training. I rarely have these kind of trips but these little giys were aggressive and hanging where big Momma usually takes a post. 38 degress right now, hope that brings the plus size fish up. A-Jay
  14. I love to chunk & wind and so a spinnerbait fits that bill nicely. Caught my first DD Green bass slow rolling one in 25 ft. My PB brown bass smoked one I was burning in 5 feet of water. Such a versatile bait. Been a fan of them for a long time. Late summer is prime time for spinnerbaits here for me A-Jay
  15. @GaryH Thank You very much for the support, I really appreciate it. A-Jay
  16. Been fishing hard most every off day for a while. Even slipped in some afternoon fishing after morning workouts. Love being on the water but after a while it starts to add up. I can 'feel' it in the gym for sure. Still getting it done though. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  17. Interesting perspective. I always thought it was for folks who enjoyed heartbreaking loss & bleeding. A-Jay
  18. I Rarely pay with cash always have it though. In fact I've had the same $100 in my 'salmon skin' wallet for several years now. Cool wallet btw . . . A-Jay
  19. Maybe a type of vertigo ? or it could be a tuma , . . A-Jay
  20. Completed two working sets again this morning. Showing one here. Everyone of these training sessions is like a gift. I'm not afraid of being 63. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  21. Not sure if I'm getting what you mean. Is your truck swerving or perhaps your boat trailer ? If you're referring to fatigue being a factor, I totally get that. Fatigue is the arch enemy and the root cause of a high percentage of 'accidents'; of all kinds. Professionally & recreationally. I am very done being 'tired' behind the wheel. Changed my ways a long time ago after losing a close friend who was driving home on leave. Besides keeping myself in shape, I always bring & eat food and stay hydrated, AND use the 1/3 - 2/3 rule. I will use what I feel like is 1/3 of my capacity to get there & fish. Allows for 2/3 of my human gas tank to get me home safely. (as well as not taking some other innocent driver/whole family with me). Promised my wife and I hold myself accountable. I fish a lot more HALF DAYS now. Stay Safe. A-Jay
  22. Oh My ~ So Glad you're OK. I got head to toe chills reading that. Thank You for sharing your story. It just wasn't your time. Not much more I can say. A-Jay
  23. LOL Depends on the barometric pressure. Rising it's on the right. Falling it's on the left. Steady it's a total Krap shoot ! A-Jay
  24. Except for some awesome foliage colors, it sure felt and fished like late August yesterday. Bite was non-existent. Going back tomorrow for a rematch. A-Jay
