  1. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  2. My ProXS is digital and also tunes to a specific rpm. However it only only allows a dial in down to 'clutch' ahead. I'm not a big troller, but the boats steerage is not the best at that speed and it seems too fast except for maybe Musky. A-Jay
  3. Nice assortment. I use Megabass & Strike King jerkbaits in a variety of patterns including perch. And while the jury is still out for me, the new Berkley Stunna looks promising, especially the perch. A-Jay
  4. Well Said. And the more people I meet, the more I Love my dogs. A-Jay
  5. I fish some places that have a very healthy yellow perch population. Not sure if they are part of your deal or not but I've been know to catch a few decent fish on perch patterned Jerkbaits now & again. This 6 plus brown bass ate one two days ago. In warmer water I also do well with perch colored Lipples & squarebill cranks. I'd say give them another shot. A-Jay
  6. If we are taking about a casting set up, before investing in a new gear, perhaps try spooling your rig up with a quality & appropriately sized Fluorocarbon. It's probably a less costly solution. Seaguar InvizX Fluorocarbon is very decent. Either that or I'd just lose the leader. A-Jay

  8. Nicely Done Sir ~ Pretty Brown Bass. Effective fishing 3/32 oz in 20 ft is like a religious experience. #madskills Congrats A-Jay
  9. Thank You ~ And Yes Some on spinning and some on casting gear. Usually the case for me depending on the presentation. You can watch it happen here . . . . A-Jay
  10. Got the timing right this morning. Ended up with a 27.92 lb bag. Anchored by two over 6 lbs. A first for this guy ! Report (with video) in the works . . . A-Jay

  14. Great Bass ! And I'd agree that this shot doesn't do this toad the real justice she probably deserves, it's still a Very Cool Pic. In a "Dreaming of Night Bassing" sort of way . . . Congrats . . . A-Jay

This works for me in cooler water conditions - Like right now. Some of my best results come when I only move the bait a foot at a time. And it's definitely NOT a lift but a slow drag. Just want to feel the bait thump a few times and then stop - all done with the rod. Bass will eat it as it rests on the bottom. This is from a recent trip . . . water temps @40 degrees. A-Jay
  16. There ya go ~ I'm pacing myself this year - it's something new. A-Jay
  17. Adding the bait the OP is looking for to the cart does not work. A-Jay

  23. IMO, continue taking care of yourself. Clearly not a guarantee of anything, but making Staying lean, Fit & Balanced a way of life now and moving forward, is pretty much all we can do. Genetics can help but rarely can overcome a detrimental lifestyle. A-Jay
