  10. Thanks I appreciate it ~ Been so long since I've been in a commercial gym, I actually don't remember what it's like. Trained for many years exclusively in gyms at military installations. Different deal. Hope you can find a way to get back into it. A-Jay
  11. Total Body Workout #3 ~ Plenty of warm up sets and 2 solid working sets of 7 exercises. 460 lb Rack Pull was the best so far this year, but it's early yet. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  14. I do use a few of the soft plastics that feature a 'built in scent', The Strike King line of tubes, craws etc, in particular. Plenty of success with them but I don't really ever attribute much of that to 'the scent'. Back up a few years (ok decades) the Original PowerBait seemed like a game changer for me. Power Worms caught me a ton of green bass back in the day and I did feel the 'scent' played a role in that. Still use them and still believe. Fast forward to present day, (and for the past several years) regardless of whatever soft plastic bait (and almost every bait for that matter), I'm throwing, @Bobby Uhrig Megastrike gets slathered on each and every one. You can figure out why. Finally Maxscent seems to be the real deal. That Flat worm is really nothing special to look at, profile & action seems like the 52 thousand other baits out there. But MAN, does it get bites. Almost as good as Junebug. YMMV A-Jay
  15. No Concerns. Many folks use FC for ice fishing. A-Jay

  19. OK so I watched this entire video ~ while I'm not familiar with Mr Welcher, I do agree with almost everything in this clip, almost. The idea of a 'system' is right up my alley. He provides a ton of very good, experienced based information here that most anyone, especially those bassheads not super experienced with this subject, could benefit from. And long before this young man came to be, and way before youtube, some us already had this figured out. During my personal journey down treble hook road, I came to favor the EWG hook. Simply because from Michigan to Mexico, I rarely lose fish. If I had, I'd of found something else. So yes, I like the design & function of them and this is where my confidence lies. Is the EWG the end all, best treble ever, probably not. But the beauty of it all is we all get to choose to go with what we like. A-Jay
  20. Admittedly Probably no reason to expect anything less and it has a likelihood of getting worse before it gets better. A-Jay
  21. I like it ~ A-Jay
  22. I’ve mentioned a few times that I prefer to replace most stock trebles with aftermarket offerings. Additionally, I’m a fan of EWG’s vs the Round Bend model in just about every scenario. Not saying that one is considerably more effective than the other, it’s just how I do it and where my confidence lies on the matter. However, there’s a bit of method to my madness..... YMMV A-Jay
  23. Yes it’s January and here in the north woods, the days are short, the nights are long, and the water’s hard. So I bang away at this keyboard not really ever knowing what might come out next. And then there’s this . . . . I’m a fan of watching bass tournaments, both old & new. Most recently all the LIVE derbies we now have available. I like most everything about them, but one of my favorite parts of these deals, are the live post fishing day interviews with the contestants. This includes but may not be limited to those that were successful that day, those that were unfortunately unsuccessful, and everything in between. So often there’s much to learn as well as a bit of comic relief from the participants. I started thinking – what if we could combine two Pro personalities (past and or present). What type of beyond amazing fishing skills would or could result ? And what would those post day interviews be like ? I have a few right off: Rick Clunn and KVD Perhaps building the perfect beast Mike Iaconelli and Mark Davis The Ying & Yang Gerald Swindle and James Watson Just for pure comic relief A-Jay
