  1. You know I love it too. During the Sissy Squat, when my glutes / hips stay high enough, there is little to NO activation there. Total Full Length Quad Blast (with no hip, back or knee pain). But as soon as I lean forward and they drop, even a little, the exercise gets considerably easier. Which tells me those big ole glutes are firing. My pride says load it up and just squat that deal, but I can train my glutes far more directly with those step back lunges, especially with my opposite leg elevated on that block. A-Jay
  2. That 'shad' pattern is most white with a hint of light grey, I guess. Most of the Shad baits I've gotten from Outcast had somewhat less 'color' than the one pictured on the site. Either way it's still pretty bright. A-Jay
  3. And this is where that video is invaluable. I am trying to lean back and make that more of a sissy squat. Easier with the lighter weights but tougher as I go up. I will need to clean that up. I do have the option of using the cables which work well. I have been trying that lever arm version as it just feels smoother. I'll get it figured out. Old school squats are out of the question for this guy. A-Jay

  5. Been working on a Total Re-Boot exercise wise. The Brig-20 has been my motivation. Loaded with Isolation work. It's not 'just another workout program'. A good bit of this is somewhat familiar. However, This is a completely different overall approach from MOST ALL traditional resistance Training including all The Compound Exercises I've previously performed. And I mean for DECADES. Still fine tuning the training sequences & exercises to get the most out it in the home gym, but I Really Like where this is headed. My joints are very happy. More to follow soon. Here's a sneak peak at my leg workout from this morning. A-Jay
  6. No clue ~ But I found this . . . . https://yourjeepguide.com/wrangler-snow-plowing/ A-Jay
  7. Please go into this one with a 'very open mind'. It's going to challenge just about everything you 'know' about this stuff. Conventional wisdom might go right out the window and there could even be a little crow eaten. Personally I choked down a freaking murder of them. As always, I will most definitely be passing on my results. A-Jay
  8. Great Term ~ Been there and we have to do that every time we foster a dog or get a new puppy. A-Jay
  9. Thanks and right back at ya my friend. During the somewhat rare times I'm not deep into a training mode, I usually relax my dietary standards a bit, but this time I sort of went a little overboard. OK - Off The Rails . . . And even after all these years it still surprises me at how long it takes to get the kind of lean I like, but how fast it all goes almost completely away. Been riding the calorie deficit train for a couple of weeks or so now and that trip will need to continue for some time. But I like it; in particular the results. And I have to pass this on . . . . I've been running the Brig-20 deal for all of this come back trail, a month or so now. GAME CHANGER If you're not familiar with this deal, check it out. The best way I can describe this is -- and this is no joke. After 40 Plus YEARS OF 'WORKNG OUT' and suffering a number of life altering injuries in the process, I wish I had this information from the start. While some of this was and is available in other formats, Doug Brignole's presentation of this stuff literally blew my mind and I feel somewhat embarrassed at how ineffective I probably was for all those years. I sincerely hope that peaks your interest. I'll be dropping a video or three of this type of training in the immediate future, as soon as I can get off 'the fat boy program'. Stay Safe A-Jay
  10. The 'extra casting distance' one gets from this, at least for me, could never out weigh the problems associated with it; especially in most bass fishing scenario's. My spools are always kept loaded pretty close to capacity, so my reel does a much better job of laying all that in a uniform & neat fashion than I ever could. Except for flipping / pitching, with a less than loaded spool, I can see me cursing at my gear more than I'd like. Good Luck though A-Jay
  11. As all rods have a 'line & lure weight rating', it's mostly a recommendation rather than a hard & fast rule. Offers a buyer an 'idea' of where the rod might perform at it's best. However, when it comes to 'lure weight ratings', some companies get pretty liberal with what they list. So while the rating range might be listed as 1/4 to 1 ounce, the top & bottom end of that is usually a bit of a stretch. So the Sweet spot for a particular blank might be somewhere in the middle. In this example like 3/8 to 5/8 oz would be where I'd guess it to be. Clearly not all lures weigh exactly what they are listed as and when a trailer is added that changes it some too. Line type & size effects all of this as well. Pretty sure you're on top of this but for those who might not be: I highly recommend that you find a line of rods you like and stick with it. In the long run you'll be better off knowing what to expect from a product, especially if your making purchases on line. If you can be hands on before you buy, bring the reel you'll be using to the vendor, (or get one out of the display case) and mount it on a few sticks in the store. Usually helps. Fish Hard A-Jay
  12. Despite fishing mostly clear rarely stained habitats, I do use various baits, both hard and soft, with and without rattles. No sure either way is ever really a game changer, but have seen an occasional preference one way or the other. Something I do bank on though, is that the mature bass I'm routinely seeking, and I'll even go as far as to call them Senoirs, didn't reach that age by missing many opportunities. Meaning, she is the queen of her castle and is very aware of her surroundings; especially when it comes to predators & prey. If she's into it, she'll be all over my jig. With or without a rattle. 13. After a couple of years of 'looking', I learned that there is a rather significant population of pre spawn Brown Bass that stage considerable deeper and much further away from both the food source & the spawning areas than I ever imagined; mostly because I never checked. Only scratched the surface of the possibilities of this in 2021, but it's opened up another very viable option when the shallower fish bail after the many cold fronts April & May routinely see. Just one more nugget to make the hard water season seem even longer. https://youtu.be/8p_YjczqvhE?t=454 A-Jay
  14. The Physics of Resistance Exercise by Doug Brignole. Teaches a safe and productive alternative to high-volume resistance training, based on more appropriate exercise selection and more effective exercise performance Explains musculoskeletal biomechanics as well as the physics principles that are essential for optimal performance of all resistance exercises. Game changer for me. A-Jay
  15. We're burning it all up in a Regency Wood Burning Stove. No Fumes just hotness. A-Jay
  16. Me too. And from December to March My name changes to Getwood. A-Jay
  17. Yup ~ I was not only a member of this group, I was the freaking Club President ! Actually had my guide in Mexico Yell at me for doing it. Took me a REALLY long time to break the habit too. Now I'm sort of stuck in the opposite zone. I get a few decent fish and good luck getting whatever bait that was out of my hand ! If there's a middle ground in this one somewhere, I'm still looking for it. A-Jay
  18. Perfectly succinct ~ And with the advent of forward looking sonar, I can see this 'style of bass fishing', hanging around and perhaps even growing a little. A-Jay
  19. We have made it a point to ensure that the USPS mail carries KNOW EXACTLY what those package looks like. Every since there is a Pride of delivery associate with every one. And we could not possible be any more thankful. A-Jay
  20. No Doubt ~ My Wife receives ALL of her life sustaining Meds through The Mail. #bigdeal A-Jay
  21. The last time gas prices were consistently this high in the U.S. was 2014. Not going to get into why. Holiday travel will no doubt be affected. Hope this is not the new norm. A-Jay
  22. My wife and I are big time on line shoppers and get 'something' a few times every week. Sometimes more. Like the rest of the planet, this area is 'growing', however it's still a relatively 'small community'. One benefit of that may be that 'everybody sort of knows everybody'. Our mail carrier, UPS delivery person & even the FedEx humans have been the same 5 or 6 people for several years. My dogs are in their vehicles when they stop out front to get a 'treat'. If something like the OP happened here, it would get personal pretty fast. The local building for all three are 'right in town', just a few miles away. Can't see that going on though. Plus I prefer to smother those folks with kindness every chance I get. A smile & a kind word goes a long way. #goldenrule A-Jay
  23. There Ya Go ~ ! You got Some Real Brutes Nicely Done my friend. Congrats A-Jay
  24. While I have heard the term 'Junk Fisherman', I'll admit that I don't totally understand it. However I've not been exposed to very many 'Random Fisherman', or I suppose Fisherwomen in this case. Good on Her. A-Jay
  25. Up to you I guess. Should you need it, a new one could increase the chances of it performing effectively enough to get you home. While there's always some I can not do much about, I am very willing to do whatever I can to eliminate risk, not 'manage it'. #peaceofmind A-Jay
