  4. Yes ~ It's a Name that has to be earned. And in my book, his certainly has. btw- any one of those 'lines' would be a great season, let alone a day ! A-Jay
  5. My grandfather used to always say, "We go out of this world the same way we come into it." So much truth right there. There wasn't much I could do about the entry, but everything I do today will effect All of my abilities, or lack there of, for tomorrow. It's all going to go eventually. However staying lean, flexable and strong helps with balance and promotes confidence. All of that is so important IMO, especially as we get down the road a bit. Been a priority my entire life and is paying huge dividends right now at 62. It's never too early or late to improve our deal. @DitchPanda I hope your situation improves sooner rather than later. A-Jay
  6. Clearly nothing official. A 7 lb scoreable bass is something we came up with a few trips ago, and we've just kept it going since. We don't count fish usually but on that trip (Oct 2018) we were getting so many big bass we had to set the bar somewhere. Ended up with 53 over 7 in 6 days. Just crazy. Jeff kept track on his phone while we were on the water. Here a screen shot of the totals. Didn't seem real while it was happening; like the best bass fishing dream ever. A-Jay
  7. No Sir There is a pic attached Can't say why you're not seeing it. A-Jay Thanks, And TW helps me with that on a fairly regular basis. ? A-Jay

  11. @Boomstick Good Luck on your new employment quest. I am not really in a position to offer too much advice on the above, except that a fresh start and relocation often go hand in hand. And will also say . . . Stop dragging your feet and Marry that Lady before someone else does ! A-Jay
  12. I went out yesterday looking for fall brown bass. It was Very cloudy and they were most uncooperative. The walleye however were all about the blade bait I was throwing. Going back tomorrow with the expected sunny conditions. So we'll see how that goes. This could be the last trip of the season here for me. A-Jay
  13. G.Loomis Escapes are what I use. They are good sticks but sort of short and as noted above, discontinued. There are a couple of new options. I have not used either but I would consider them if I needed to. These are not cheap either but if you're going back several times, it may be a decent investment. https://thehookuptackle.com/products/triza-multi-piece-casting-rods?variant=38058345300135 https://thehookuptackle.com/products/valkyrie-world-expedition-multi-piece-rods?variant=40140083593383 http://tackletour.com/previewmegabassrods2021.html Good Luck A-Jay

  15. I use a Super Stick telescopic push pole Works great. A-Jay
  16. Those who know me, are well aware that I can not offer any wisdom to this thread. At least not yet. But a man has to dream . . . . #baitmonkeyslave A-Jay
  17. Wouldn't want to be the poor soul who had to clean that particular mechanism. #stinktank A-Jay
  18. Fillet all the way. Been part of more than a few 'Fillet Fests' over the years. Can be a little tedious but may be directly related to 'size' So worth it though A-Jay
  19. Wind ~ she's such a fickle beast. Some days she's not enough, other's, she's way too much. (Like today and why I'm sitting in front of this PC rather than at the helm of the Pro-V Bass: Too Much !) And on the rarest of days, she's like the story of Goldilocks and the three bears; she's "just right." I've been known to fish and have some decent success during all there, but the 'just right' days (or even just times) can really be magic. I like those. A-Jay
  20. You Sir, are very generous ~ A-Jay
  21. I love to chunk & wind almost anything. However, my lipped crankbait fishing has dropped off dramatically the past few years. Just found better options for the local brown bass, especially for deeper applications. So much so that I re-homed at least half of what I had. Still carry a decent assortment of shallow & mid-depth options, which I throw when it's the deal, but plan on thinning the herd again a bit this winter. A-Jay
  22. Works for both but you know I'm partial to Brown Bass. Also the OP's avatar pic @bigspiritlooks like a brown bass too. A-Jay
  23. Here's where I'm at ~ A-Jay
  24. If you don't eat the calories, you don't have to burn them. Just Saying. Also after managing be & stay be 'fit' My Entire Life, I will tell you that for me, this whole deal is a life style that only ends when it all ends. So you've got nothing but time. Use it wisely however, as it's so fleeting it's hard to believe. A-Jay
