  1. Bass Resources is the best bass fishing resource ~ bar none. But it doesn't take long to understand that the Forum itself, goes well beyond that. It's good people that make good places and so often good people bring out the good in people. I believe there's a lot of that going on here every minute of every day. There may be no adequate thanks for a gift like that. A-Jay

  4. Time, as it relates to getting on the water, whether it's early, late or something in between, seems to be much less about hour I read a clock and more about what 'time' the bass think it is. #feedingtime A-Jay
  5. I'm not a huge dessert guy, but I will treat myself every once in a while. So when it comes to ice cream, just about any of the 'single flavor' type deals will do the trick. I will admit to being especially fond of a one specific & very special 'topping' . . . . A-Jay
  6. I use a Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS Spin Rod 7'6" ML Feider stick for my light hair jig needs. Casting 1/8 oz (and lighter hair) is always a tricky deal for me. Seems there's a bit of a trade off between casting & fighting/landing plus size fish. However this blank gets it done and as @MickD noted, it presents a Ned Rig rather effectively as well. Here's a clip of it in action (1/8 oz Ned Rig Brown Bass) https://youtu.be/3OXnPQs0bqQ?t=60 A-Jay

  9. The stick shift will never come back. Makes it too hard to text and drive . . . #4onthefloor #3onthetree A-Jay
  10. I launch and recover my rig solo all the time. With & without a dock. During the recovery, it's helps quite a bit to get the trailer at a depth that allows your boat to actually line itself up on the trailer. Sinking the trailer too much is usually not what I want to do. I use the trailer fenders as 'my guide'. By having them just at water level, usually sets my rig up right. This is a clip of my launch & recovery and it shows what I mean. Hope that helps A-Jay
  11. First I have heard of this one. As a long time 832 fan, I am interested. Went to TW's site to check it out. The description indicates that the ProMix braid has "buoyancy". Which could be helpful for topwater applications but could end up being less desirable for some sub-surface deals. Looking forward to learning more. A-Jay
  12. Well that's great to hear. and just so you know, this place just hasn't been the same since you left . . Stay Safe ? A-Jay
  13. Welcome Back Bud ~ Been doing any fishing ? A-Jay
  14. I run an assortment of spinning rigs for smallies on jerkbaits. However all with a light braid mainline & a Long light FC leader. I get a few. Made a recent addition to the arsenal with a 7 ft M St Croix Victory spinner. Mounted a 3000 Vanford on it as I prefer the slightly larger spool/line capacity. Been fishing it for a few weeks now and this rig presents jerkbaits, hooks, fights & lands brown bass in a manner I do like. A-Jay
  15. Solid bag right there ~ Congrats Sir A-Jay
  16. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Congrats on the Great Bass A-Jay
  17. Yup ~ Last week I needed some terminal tackle ~ Paid for UPS next day air shipping at TW - Ordered placed on the 11th - received it in MI on the 13th. That $20 spot isn't helping me catch fish. #worthit A-Jay
  18. While getting this going in an urban environment may take 'less' time, I live in sort of a rural area. It's not the same. Everything's mostly spread out. Until these vehicles can flash a 'recharge' on the road, in the same time, and with something close to the same type of availability, that I can fill a tank of gas, it's just not gonna happen for a while here. #quikmart A-Jay

  20. Petroleum is big business. Employs a lot humans in many different ways. The largest volume products of the industry are fuel oil and gasoline. Don't see it going too far away particularly quickly. Unless the 'silent' rigs are close to free of charge and possess some massive upside (I'm not seeing now), for as long as I can manage it, I expect to be lead footing the 6.2L V8 for the rest of my driving days. Get off my lawn . . . . A-Jay

  23. Been using a Streamlight Trident for years - Multi-color lens & one hand operation Used it rock hopping on jetties for stripers and in the canoe hunting brown bass. My wife & I both wear one doing the dogs at night. https://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-61051-Super-Bright-Multi-Purpose-Headlamp/dp/B00064YL78/ref=sr_1_29_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=streamlight+headlamp&qid=1621560205&sr=8-29-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzMjdFR0hNS1ZBRkpGJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzAyMjI0MUVYVkFMTjE1VlhNWiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTczMTAzNEo4WkJPOVJVV0gwJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfbXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== A-Jay
