  2. Ten Foot Tall and Bullet Proof ~ Ahh, those were the days. Seems hearing, self preservation & comprehension skills often do not display in our species until well after mid-life. And even then, this appears to be somewhat sporadic. Stay Safe A-Jay
  3. Strike King KVD 300 Deep Jerkbait ~ https://youtu.be/YlXF8zI6X1g?t=2268 Fish Hard A-Jay
  4. Not totally certain what The Best Steal has been, But every time I purchase a bulk spool of InvisX & Tatsu from Amazon I feel like I'm doing OK. ? A-Jay
  5. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Along with a jerkbait, a vibrating jig is a solid performer for me early season. @InfantryMP noted some good info above. My version is to present the bait low & slow. Here's some recent footage of what that looks like: Fish Hard A-Jay

  7. So funny how bassheads be just making up terms. At this point, we can pretty much call any type of spot or area just about anything we want. The wierder it sounds the more technical we feel. Here's a few of my newest favorites: A slimp, the creek pipe, the spool of a point, the cove depot, a shallow flat back, the hollow hump, the edge of the spurge, and finally the frame of that hole. What are we doing ? A-Jay
  8. I'd say use the colors that you have confidence in. At the same time focus on boat position and your presentation. Maybe stay off the fish a bit more than usual while making a longer cast. btw - water's pretty clear here and GP is my best producer in everything except swimbaits. A-Jay
  9. I fished for a week down south a few years ago with 25 guys ALL From different parts of MA. I was in heaven ! Forgot how funny they can be, I laughed a lot. Haven't heard that anything was r e t a r d e d since . . . A-Jay

  11. I agree with and practice the Max tire pressure mantra. https://www.boatingmag.com/properly-inflating-boat-trailer-tires/ Also seems a few folks I see towing their rigs down the highway might also want to check what the speed rating is for their trailer tires. Bet it's not 90 MPH ! Unless assigned a specific Speed Rating, industry standards dictate tires with the ST designation are speed rated to 65 mph (104 km/h) under normal inflation and load conditions. An "L" speed rated Trailer tire comes in at 75 mph. Just Saying . . A-Jay
  12. I have often whined here pretty hard about what mother nature has asked me to fish in. However, even with this mostly unprecedented early open water, I've been pretty lucky so far. And it looks like it could get even better here in the next couple of weeks. So I'm just going to drop a little "Thank You" right here . . . . Fish Hard A-Jay
  13. Carlisle Radial Trail HD Trailer Tires ~ This one is rated for 2150 lbs and with a single axel trailer I like that load rating. I'm not unhappy with them at all - as long as I keep the wheels out of the woods . A-Jay
  14. And not a single Jerkbait ? Covers water and triggers cold water strikes. I know I'd be throwing one. Good Luck A-Jay
  15. My 'other' life long hobby revolves around working to stay lean & strong (relative term) 1995 here 2021 here A-Jay
  16. On the way home from Lake Menderchuck Sunday evening, as an emergency vehicle approached (ambulance, siren & lights a flashing), IAW state regulations, I pulled off to the side of a rather rural road & stopped my rig. After it passed and I resumed my travels, we had a problem. Passenger Side Trailer Tire had suffered catastrophic failure; bummer. (Picked up a 6 inch section of angle iron.) I'm ready for this but not a fan of installing the spare on a two lane roadside at dusk. Fortunately I replaced it without incident nor was I run down by a "texter". The Carlisle Radial Trail HD Trailer Tires are the original set from 2016, in decent condition but are showing some wear and were scheduled for replacement this fall. Had to speed up that time frame, so the order went in and I should be back on the water by the weekend. In the mean time might as well re-pack the bearing & inspect those hubs . . . A-Jay
  17. I really enjoyed that. A-Jay
  18. I use several batteries (8 to be exact) to power the GoPro camera mounted at the stern. I prefer to need to attend to it every 45 minutes or so. This ensures that I "check it" for proper operation & focus rather than setting it in the morning, fishing for 6-8 hours only to realize that somehow I missed the video of a life time because the unit went bonkers 10 minutes into the day and I never knew it. I do utilize my rigs accessories option to plug in and power the front unit mounted on my windscreen. Works out well More info below https://www.youtube.com/c/AjLynn45thParallelFishing/featured A-Jay
  19. Looks about right ~ That site is IMO- a little zany anyway. btw - the price of that passenger console has gone up nearly $500 American since 2016 ! Did it get that much bigger ? A-Jay
  20. Boat insurance is only legally required in a few states, however purchasing a boat insurance policy with comprehensive and collision coverage protects my bass boat against physical damage. Also, if I'm liable in a boating accident, liability coverage will pay for the damages or injuries I caused; which can & does add up fast. I have a policy with Progressive through USAA (they offer a very veteran friendly rate) and it covers just about everything including the trailer. IMO it's a small price to pay for peace of mind. https://www.progressive.com/boat/bass-boat-insurance/ A-Jay
  21. Good Luck ~ Looking forward to it. Following . . . . A-Jay
  22. No worries ~ And either way This is one sweet looking rig A-Jay
  23. My removable passenger console did not come standard but was an extra cost option. I like it. A-Jay
  24. @pharmfisher Here's a little fuel for the fire ~ Fish Hard A-Jay
